Just found this via Justin Ostrander in shorts. Absolutely solid musicianship, great hooks, and just damn well done. Love it. This is going on my master playlist
Or sound so sublime in the usually exclusive to hard metal tuning of c# . metalist . You and that kangaroo romancing dude whose song was for his papa. Throw in the rather overdose lad with REN GILL as conductor and social media would of achieved the task of full on super group of world dominating quality . 20 years + UK nd USA have had our musical talent dialuted by pure greed and false belief in what a group or a solo star should play or mime for us. REN GILL got to digital No1 all by himself no syco n studio nothing at all. Ditched by Sony for refusal to play their whistle. X. Ben & REN GET IT ON
Full of emotions and brilliance. This is the real essence of a song. Rock on mate .. your start is good keep the level high u hv set the bar high now. Next slow song n u will die out
Always maintained country music is primed to bring in more rock/metal influences. Drop C is a great way to mix it up. When done right the potential is limitless
Hey brother just remember I was here before you became the next best country artist your fantastic legendary! Great music and remember to keep it simple 🤘🏻 country music is simple and wholesome!
Brother this is sick , it kinda brings back 2000s rock country like OG Jason Alden / Brantley Gilbert, I can’t stand that pop country shit today and I love original Outlaw country music
Was obsessed with this guitar riff from the short Justin O. posted of Ben playing in the studio. The full song did NOT disappoint. This shreds. Nice work!
This reminds me of when I first heard "The Ranch" and I was telling everybody "These guys are going to be the future of country." Nobody listened , but this Keith Urban guy did alright for himself for 28 years.😀 Good song, GREAT playing. Keep it up. (And I still love that Ranch album!)
I grew up country surrounded by old backwoods musicians every sat was exactly this song and being the offspring of an old picker and now being an old backwoods picker myself this riff hits damn son get it
Such a banger, sophisticated guitar playing and that's how I like my country. Soulful voice also, Ben you give everything a wonderful country song needs. This is NOT generic as a lot of artists in this genre these days, congrats for good songwriting and delivery skills. It's coming from a diehard metalhead who loves country from time to time \m/
That very noticeable crack on the lower bout underneath the bridge of that very expensive ass Taylor guitar is lovely. Doesn’t make my musician brain feel any pain at all.
Personally, I don't like a bland rhythm section and how the lyrics can be self congratulatory. This really only applies to overproduced Nashville pop, so I guess I don't actually have a problem with country.
This is amazing. I am an alcoholic and have been sober 7.5 years. I still hear people telling me they believe it’s a choice. Abusing substances is not a choice! We literally are dying and killing ourselves it’s miserable. I’ve gotta say everything this man said has been my experience with using, how I came to be sober, and how I maintain sobriety. AA showed me all the tools I rely on but it’s the same as you’d get with addiction therapy I’d imagine. AA just uses a different language and provides a community of support.
I live in The Netherlands, Europe and Country music isn't a thing here, unfortunatly, So I have to seach for great country artist myself and I just found one! This song just "Stomped" in my head! Freakin' love it!
I don't think I've ever heard a song written from this perspective before. If I'm correct you are singing to me about how the song you are singing is going to make me feel...yeh? Like it makes me wanna STOMP?! 👏👏👏👏 Clever indeed!
I've never heard of Ben Gallagher but I have a feeling I'd like to see this guy in concert. I would like to see him on the same ticket as Jackson Dean.
