'Next up on True Romance is a jubilant 2-tracker from long-term label friend Ben Gomori.
Few people in the industry are as well known and well loved as Ben; a master of many trades, he emits unwavering positivity and enthusiasm. It's this zeal and bags of talent that have propelled him through a now gilded career that's spanned production, promotion, radio hosting, remixing, editing and of course - DJing where he regularly assumes the position as a veritable beacon in the booth.
'I Have Finally Found Somebody' concludes a satisfying gestalt as it follows on from his previous True Romance record 'Desperately Seeking Something'. The single is a two-sided coin, featuring an original mix and a balmy Balearic mix, each dialling in different moods and together showcasing Ben's versatility as a selector.
The original is an out-and-out party jam drawn forwards by racing drums and a bubbling organ. Brass flashes and a purely positive vocal dash in some spice and sass before piano chords bleed into focus with a bitter-sweet tone that has very much become a hallmark of Ben's sound.
The Balearic mix slows the pace as well rounded bongos and toms push expressive piano lines in steadily circling patterns. The vocals swoon in the background while nifty sequencing has the energy pushing and pulling throughout. These are effective cuts catering to a wide spectrum of moods on the floor - not to be missed!'
