Yes! It should be tougher to get it. Not just on pity. It’s the immigrant ts government s responsibility. It’s tough regimes are so brutal. But UN turn s a blind eye. They have no protection in their country. That’s why migration. But I think immigrants if so come legally in should pay an immigrant tax. To help support their own not British taxpayers. They should actually pay less in taxes.. And language barrier to. They should speak English in an English speaking country. In private different. In work place though it’s very rude. My previous employer didn't want to employ British people because he saw them as "lazy" and people from other countries work harder. One of the other guys that worked there still had his family back "home" and he would send them the majority of his wages each month, that money just left the economy. I wonder how many other people send money to another country like that.
I worked in the NHS with Philipino nurses. Fabulous people, excellent workers, and really naturally caring. One told me it is almost compulsory for them send some of their money back home. Its part of their culture.
The UK has a Labour government with an absolute majority in parliament. Which gives it carte blanche to pursue the policy it wants. Extremely dangerous in my opinion. But that's how UK rules are set up.
I trained as a registered general nurse in 2010. I couldn't get a job after all those years of training. It was clear to me I was competing at a global level for a local job. The only place I could get a local job was in a nursing home. Don't say we have unskilled people here. Furthermore we need more workers in public services to service the population explosion due to overseas populations choosing to live in the UK. Sensibly managed migration, yes. What we have currently no.
Totally understand. All it needs is one of these people to get a house. Then mother /father come to stay for a ''holiday'. Suddenly father has early signs of Dementia, and mother needs a double hip replacement. Which they would have to pay thousands for in their country, f they could even get it. Now the NHS has 2 more added to the list, one which which need full time care in a Nursing Home which we will pick up the bill for.

Not barking politely at a police dog will get you jail. A certain ethnicity/faith will avoid a dog arrest though as the police will not have their attack mutts out for certain faiths as they dislike dogs.

I wish he could, but since parliament limited the power of the Sovereign, from 1689 onwards, he can only give pardon on the advice of the Home Office. So that's not going to happen. I would have more confidence in the King actually ruling than I do in parliament. The Sovereign has a long term care for the country, not the five years that any government has. I've seen comments saying that The King should dismiss Starmer. Again, nice thought, but we are nowhere near the situation where that could happen. Maybe if Starmer carries on as he has started, it might happen, but it's a difficult thing to balance.
