Ben Hammond 5-10 Speedy Point Guard Coming to URI in the Fall 

DMW Super Scout Tyler McKittrick gives Rhody fans all they need to know about incoming 3 star freshman Hammond, who is a championship caliber player and dynamic on both ends of the floor.
Hammond is the point guard for one of the most powerful high school programs in the country, where two of his fellow starting teammates are playing for Duke and the others are joining UCONN and Notre Dame.
Hammond earned Second Team All-Conference honors as a junior in 2023 for Paul VI. The lightning quick guard chose URI over George Mason, Fordham and the College of Charleston.
Last season Hammond's team was 31-4 and a perfect 15-0 in the DMV region. And as an encore, his AAU Team Takeover won two Peach Jam championships.
Beside Hammond playing for both Team Takeover and Paul VI, Ram coach Kenny Johnson was the head coach of both teams. See below.
