Heath Ledger directed this. This is but one of the many reasons I miss him now and always will. Future generations need to know about this man and the colors of his soul. I'll never get over this loss. Heath Ledger directed this, and I'll carry on missing him.
Being a fan of Ben Harper FOR YEARS brought me hear.... It just so happens Heath Ledger directed this video & it was featured on some documentary about Heath... so for all those that "got here" due to the documentary, sorry you missed out on such great music for so many years!!!
I have always loved Ben Harper and his music this being one my favourite songs along with diamonds on the inside. After Watching the film I am Heath Ledger and finding out that the video was his vision has made all the more special and also made me realise I need a smoke machine ☺
I am making a cd for my daughter to play when she has trouble falling asleep, or anytime she wants really. This song is on my list, other suggestions would be appreciated. Can be any artist, just nice, calm songs like this please
Woah....directed by Heath Ledger? Whether true or nor still a beautiful song. Thank you for speaking to us through your music! You are amazing. Just on RU-vid for the first time but been a fan for a long time! You have the power to create miracles through your spoken word and song. Please dont quit your day job! We love you!
the video is surreal, you see only shadows, smoke and lights, shapes of people, the music compliments very well and at the end we spring bank to reality and it's pretty shocking. 💡🌑🌅
Run 20 miles to escape his last pitch. The proposal was often a disguised plan. Some aches run so deep you taste the ink. Sorrow Blue. Chill Deep Groove.
Otro trabajo de Heath Ledger como director,la canción King Rat de la banda Modest Mouse. El vídeo fue concebido completamente por Ledger, aunque no lo pudo terminar debido a su muerte accidental. Esta muy bueno, R.I.P Heath Ledger, WE LOVE YOU!
I love you D.J.A more than you ever will know and more than I could ever express with words. ...in the end, when we're together, it's just us... Thank you for this 💜
awwwwww yeeeeeaaaaa dis my JAM BOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ^___^
Ok, music is music, but in a case of a music video you cant ignore the visual part of the work. And Heath Ledger was one of the best youth actor and person of our x-generation and he was only 29 when he died.
I paused the Heath Ledger documentary to watch this masterpiece. It touches me deeply and reminds me to live every minute to its fullest. Thanks, Heath and Ben. A true tribute to art, love, and gratitude.
Ben Harper , this song is awesome and Heath Ledger completed it as an artistic masterpiece. I'm shocked how a music video can look when someone really wants to make something beautiful without naked ladies. I'm sure he would have been a great director. Let's enjoy his work as a multi-talented person, I think that's what we would want us to do (and what people said in the documentary), not to be sad that he's not living anymore, his legacy is eternal.
I saw a doco about Heath the other night & I couldn't believe how much talent he had, not just as an actor, but as a director & a thinker... a philosopher. A line from the film "Bladerunner" kept going through my head. "The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long."
No one expected it. He was so young and looked healthy and happy, and had a long promising career ahead with limitless possibilities. He was amazing. At the point in time I don’t think people had been that shocked over a celebrity death since River Phoenix died.
There’s a void in this life with Heath’s absence that cannot be filled. What I would give to hug him and just have that presence back. I keep trying to figure out why his passing has hurt me so much but I don’t think I’ll ever have a complete answer for that. Heath, the memory of you is carried in so many people’s hearts it’s incredible. I truly hope in the deepest way that you are with us all in some way or another….wherever that may be. Thank you for the time you shared with us here.
