I think that's what really made me love and appreciate his music, just how poetically brilliant it is. And I don't say this lightly. I listen to a lot of music but I haven't really felt a connection to many other musicians apart from Jeff Buckley and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). Songs never mean much to me unless they mean something to the artists themselves. Words carry so much weight in my life and that's the form of art that truly makes me dig deeper. Not for any sort of certainty or answers, but for dormant or remote feelings and images just waiting to be brought to life. Your music and your words do this to me and many others I am sure. You certainly are a poet Ben, I think you've probably always been.
I genuinely love and appreciate listening to Ben Howard. He got me out from depression and made me create memories with my brothers that I love so much. Thank you Ben for everything you’ve done for us, we love your music and you keep making music like this or like the oldies lol
Agreed. I get scared when I hear an artist that I love's new music and don't get it right away. The best is after several runs through it when the pieces fall into place. The worst is when you try to sell yourself on it and can't. Have never had that issue with Ben's music.
It's nice to hear music like this apart from the status quo. It's new and calming but still exciting. The status quo is not bad, just don't want to hear that shit all the time.
Let’s be honest this song is trash. I have moved Ben since every kingdom and have loved every song and word but this song was just terrible. Mumble single, nonsensical words, and super processed.
