Do you happen to know where I can watch "en kort en lang" that has Mads in it? It is nearly impossible to find apparently. I have been searching for a while now.
Nascha Lecter huh. half the time i thought he was speaking english until i listened closely. he speaks it so well, since its his native tongue, that i actually became language confused!😁
I refuse to believe that no footage of Ben singing Frozen/MJ songs to Mads exsits. Disney has it and they are holding it from us. *Where is it Disney?*
The auto-generated translation at the danish bit is absolute bullocks, so I'll try translating so you non-danish speaking dudes can get what the fuck is going on too: *Interviewer* : Mads, do you have a message or something for your large, danish fan base? *Mads* : I hope you will experience a real Star Wars movie, but different from what you have seen before. *I* : Yes, because it is very special. How did you react when you first read the script? *M* : Well, I did know what was happening, and it was also in the script, and the purpose was that it should be, if not darker, then it should difinitely be more, like you say in English, "gritty". Because, we are in the middle of war, in the movie, like we haven't been before, and I hope you somehow get sucked into a new journey other than you have before. It's the only thing we can hope for.
Mads was great... as always. But DAMNNN, he would have made a fucking awesome Jedi or Sith! Facing Krennic in one of the the first scenes, in the rain, he looked primed to whip out a lightsaber xD
Ben Mendelsohn nailed the absolute dogsith out of the role as Krennic : the look, the arrogance, the pomposity, the brilliance, it all showed through in his performance. Watch the film "Monsters." It was Gareth Edwards masterpiece, shot by him alone with two actors, posted in after effects by him alone. That was the film that got him this gig, after the Lucasfilm execs watched it. More please!
the best movies mad Mikkelsen has been in is "blinkende lygter" "de grønne slagtere" "Adams æbler" and "pusher" if you havent watched them you really should! Fantastic movies!
Omg, I didn't notice Mads at all in Rogue one!!!! I'm only very aware of Mads since last year when Netflix decided to broadcast Hannibal in my country. He's a great Hannibal btw 🤗❤. I have to rewatch Rogue one at once!!
i love how ben is pronouncing mads’ name wrong but mads isn’t bothering to correct him on it 😂 i get it, though. people pronounce my last name wrong all the time but i don’t bother to correct them just because i’ve gotten tired of it
Translating Danish in the 21st century: Interviewer: Ms had to in a Houston Eleanor doorless to a singularity team stored and famous? Mikkelsen: Hope you come with your blue increased our was feeling it also bothers do sit there. Interviewer: For an animal sad as what I can do first came to this manuscript? Mikkelsen: Ya dystopian squalor sorta voluminous cryptid of meaning writings completely sick Marcus Canty laughing value meal dismiss your feelings pretty yeah yeah. That'd be a real media clean eating a few some big of ever or over the whole have meant membrane and with you soon upon n dynamic your day today to get some gold for.
4:58 turned on the English captions while they were speaking Danish to have a little laugh, and I got 'yeah mystical Venezuelan hottie' which actually what. The first time I listened to it I also got the impression he had said somethingsomethingVenezuelansomethingsomething and to see the captions picking up the same thing startled me so bad I almost choked on my own spit XDD
did the directeur just say "it is like if you take of your VR brill and say ooohhh it was just a dream" and why does he wear a VR brill when he sleeps?
Interviewer: "Mads, uhm, do you have a greetings or something you want to bring along to your big Danish fanbase?" Mads: "I hope they get to experience a real Star Wars movie but also that's different to what they've seen before" Interviewer: "Yes cause it's very special, how did you react the first time you read the manuscript?" Mads: "I knew what it (the movie) was about and that was also in the manuscript, and the meaning was that if not darker, then it should be more, uhm, what you would call it in english more 'gritty'. We're right in the middle of the war in this movie which we haven't been before and I hope, uhm, in some way you get sucked in another journey than what you've done before and that's the only thing we can hope for" My own translation in like 5min, should be pretty accurate though..

I'm Danish and it's not a big deal. We understand that the silent D is nowhere else to be found than in Danish. When we communicate in English ourselves we even often let go of our Danish pronunciation when it comes to Danish words and names to make it more comprehensible in English. I've also seen Mads Mikkelsen introduce himself as MaD's Mikkelsen in English.... so again, it's not a big deal. Besides, this is nothing compared to the mess of Polish names, which are all butchered from a Polish POV..... But Polish ppl are okay with it, as far as I'm aware, because they kinda realise how absolute nonsensical their pronunciations are to foreigners lol. Danish is still bad though, but Polish is much worse............ Sorry about the essay lol.
- "do you have a massage for your huge danish fanbase?" he says "i hope they get to see a real star wars movie, but also that its differnt, its part of a war, that is more dark and "gritty"...
