I’m not too familiar with the lawsuit and its details but I think if private companies are censoring people on behalf of the Biden administration, which has happened before (look at Matt Taibbi’s coverage of the Twitter files) than that would set a dangerous precedent. Whether you like Ben Shapiro or not, I personally can’t stand him because he’s a neocon, it’s definitely very dangerous for our intelligence communities like the FBI and CIA to turn its intelligence apparatuses that it developed to combat terrorists against it’s own population which it is supposed to serve.

Whatever his personal religious views, (and those of his chums), has no bearing on the rest of society. The whole concept of "sin" is a religious construct, and varies from group to group. Quite why these bigots feel so threatened by the lifestyle of others is very odd. Do they ask how their hetero neighbours have sex ? Many of the far right seem happy with child marriage (well, young girls, obviously, not the precious young men), accepting of forcing women into unwanted pregnancies, keen to promote education as a church-based activity. You’re trying to use the existence of a describing term to prove what it describes as an absolute. That’s backwards. You don’t look at the English language as a scientist and say “oh they always put periods at the ends of sentences. We’ll call it the law of periods where humans will always put a period at the end”. Point being we are the ones that decided to describe things this way, that doesn’t make it correct. I’m not actually arguing for or against this issue. I’m just saying you need to use a different argument for your view on this if you actually want to convince someone who doesn’t already agree with you.
