Exactly! And the USA gave Japan several opportunities to get surrender. Even after the first bomb was dropped..again we asked for their surrender and they refused…the Japanese did not surrender until after the second bomb. It was believed at the time by using the bomb the war would end and many lives on both sides would be spared. The full impact of the use of the bomb was not known until sometime later and is the reason it has not been used again.

The dropping of the Nuclear bombs was a necessary step that the US had to take to prevent a World WAR from continuing. Just step back and think about that for a minute… if we had a world war today with the weaponry we have and it took two nukes to put an end to prolonged suffering and misery and death..which is the lesser of two evils? I don’t think Tucker is right on this one… I don’t disagree that killing civilians was evil, however, the dropping of the atomic bomb is a justifiable evil. Two things can be right at the same time… but Tucker is wrong to label people evil who understand the bombs needed to be dropped to stop Imperial Japan and conclusively end WWII.
I saw the entire podcast. My interpretation is that Tucker was using the development of an "evil" weapon as a metaphor for our continuing efforts to develop a potentially evil A.I. I don't recall him emphasizing that dropping the bombs was the wrong thing to do, merely that it was an evil act (which it clearly was). Tucker also didn't say that he thinks everything he hears as a lie. Not even close. He said only that he is reassessing his opinions. Ben's characterization is ridiculously wrong. Ben also ridicules Trump for claiming the election was stolen and says that there's no evidence of widespread ballot fraud. He and Bill Barr had a grand old time dismissing "2000 Mules" as total BS. It was clear that neither of them had seen the movie or understood how the technology the filmmakers used works. For a person as smart as Ben to draw such absurd conclusions shows only that the hate in his heart for both Tucker and Trump overrides his capacity for rational thought. That reveals a lot more about Ben's character than he thinks he's revealing about theirs.

Germany was defeated and Hitler was "dead" when the USA droped the atomic bomb. We started the Manhattan project in response to the German atomic project but we dropped the bomb because we allegedly thought they would all fight to the death

Japan would never have surrendered without the bomb being dropped. They proved already that they would have fought until the last man. Many more, on both sides, would have died if the allied armies had to fight on without the bomb. It was horrible, agreed, but everything in war is. This was just the lessor of two evils. Germany surrendered in MAY 1945 the USA dropped the nuclear bomb on Japan on 6th of AUGUST 1945 3 months after Germany was no longer part of the picture, not to mention that Russia(USSR) lost 24-27million people in the war more than anyone else, so I doubt they were spending that much time on research
An embargo was placed on Japan. The Japanese ppl were starving and they were not surrendering. Dropping the bomb killed many but allowed for them to surrender and lift the embargo. It also stopped all out World War. There have been proxy wars since but full World Wars were prevented specifically because nukes existed, hence the Cold War

Tucker has repeatedly gone after Ben and claimed that he doesnt care about America, but has given no evidence to support that claim. If tucker thinks that ben only talks about Israel and ignores the border and other problems here, he is either lying or has done no research, in which case he is a shit journalist. Ben released a documentary recently about the border and the fentanyl crisis and he talks about these problems on his show regularly. Ben has repeatedly asked tucker to come on his show, or agree to talk to him on another platform. Tucker ignores these requests, so Ben has to address the things Tucker says in this format since he won't engage in a direct conversation. Tucker is a bad faith actor and a coward for attacking Ben on other networks and refusing to engage with him directly.
Some points: Germany Surrendered in May 1945, the first nuclear bomb was tested in New Mexico July 16. My understanding is the reason for building the bomb was to beat the Germans, who were looking into creating the same thing. There was some debate on whether to use it against the Japanese. The debate for using it was if we invaded Japan (See Operation Downfall) the casualties would have been higher for both US and Japanese. I've even heard some suggest the real reason Japan finally surrendered is because the Soviet Union declared war on them the day after the first bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.

I think Tucker started a lot of the beef himself, and he made claims about Ben's position on things and called him anti-American. So after that I lost a lot of respect for him. I understand questioning each other, but that isn't what he did. And he did literally call some Americans evil. Doesn't matter what came before or after. Those words came out of his mouth. He meant it to. He isn't able to make the tough choices or see the bigger picture in some things. He makes it seem like people enjoy what happened during wars. No. They did what they had to do based on what is presented and what information being given. It isn't ever something to be enjoyed. If you try to be 100% an angel that does no wrong then those who are evil will win - because they will do the things you'll never do. If you try to be 100% bad, then you'll also lose because everyone will be dead. The grey area is the best spot. Have enough good judgment to make the tough decisions while being willing to do what is necessary but while also doing your best to stay within good and just morals. The world isn't black or white. No one believes the same, and some even celebrate killing. You can't protect your section of the world without considering the steps needed to do that from those who have different morals than we do.

Same with 9/11, it was obviously a demolition. Now whether it was bush, Jews, etc. or a combination of the two. There is evidence (pictures, videos, news, etc.) but what can anyone do about it now? Also the rituals performed at the foundation of the twin towers once all the rubble was cleared out brings even more questions (there is video evidence of this as well).

Look up the religious history of Japan, and why fighting people more radical than a Jihadi was not necessarily a good idea, especially on home turf.
