Perfection in its purest form. Every single tone is in exactly the right place. From the (unbelievably) groovy pieces by Ben Sidran one of my absolute favorites. A treat for the ears. And I love that Wurlitzer-Hammond sound, which sounds like an essence of these two instruments (on the entire Blue Camus album). ♥️ And also the bass and drums are congenial in this quartet. Sorry for my bumpy Google Translator English 😳
This is sooo sweet n tasty.... what a great tune! I heard this tune done by Chet Baker and it was really nice, but I like the fragility this has. Ben NAILS it (soooftly)
Just in case Ben reads these: have lately with many friends been getting into your music --- consequence of a book I'm writing about my Madison years in the 60s --remembering Knowles' writing class w/ you, Steve Miller, Hogan, maybe Bob La Brasca and a couple others. Love your beat.
I really enjoyed this and have been checking out your other very interesting stuff on RU-vid. I found it by searching for Dee's Dilemma and stopped the video when I saw the sheet music only to find it's the same fake sheet that I'm using ...to write for a future trumpet and alto quintet performance. After hearing your superb interpretation, I now have every confidence in passing the fake sheet on to the rhythm section. Just a small point, you appear to credit the tune to Jackie Maclean, who was present on two recordings that i know of but Dee's Dilemma was actually written by Mal Waldron. .
