"A place where velvet hills sweep out in all directions and the grass grows right through your feet, where the sunlight pours down like yellow energy nectar dripping through your pores and filling your limbs, swallowing you up and taking you into the vacuum of eternal happiness." That's actually some great writing.
"Run, Gullus, RUN, Go, GO!" Man, that's funny. I am proud to say I was one of the few people who watched this show religiously every week, and NO ONE I knew had even heard of it. I was always rooting for Stiller to make it big because of this show, Sure, he's done some crap movies, but for producing the genius that was the Ben Stiller show, he is forever exonerated.
this is classic. the ben stiller show was my favorite before dumbasses at fox canceled it after one season. it was way funnier than any skit/parody show since i could remember. ben stiller, andy dick, genene garafulo, bob odenkirk. not every skit was the best, but there is some gems like ben acting like bono, and then the ones wear they are advertising gardening equipment.
i like ben stiller alot, im actually watching meet the parents on tv right now. but having done some comedy in my life not as an actor whose lines where givin to him, but where i came up with the material and acted. and for someone to write a show and act then have the career he has had is remarkable and i respect him undoubtably. ben stiller = da man

The Ben Stiller Show was a sketch comedy television show that aired on FOX from September 1992 to January 1993. It was a spin-off from the MTV series of the same name. The show starred Ben Stiller, Andy Dick, Janeane Garofalo...
@@bws205 No we do get it. It's just not funny at all, very weak and direct with no skill or comediac play being displayed but rather just loud obnoxious lunacy im not 7 years old I dont find this manner of comedy funny but rather pathetic
Ben Stiller as Mr. Markham is a cross between Robert Duvall's sergeant from Apocalypse Now and Mr. Mackey from South Park. He loves the smell of napalm in the morning, but drugs are bad, and doing drugs is bad etc etc etc.
I know it's a very unpopular thing to say, but drugs had a very positive effect on my life. DRUGS, yes drugs made me get off my ass, be self aware in every way and made me a lot more emotionally stable than I was before. I only use weed and psilocybin (shrooms) however, I still for a moment don't support hard drugs, I've seen effects of heroin on 4 of my friends.
Yeh this was over ten years before chapelles show. Its funny because i think fox canceled the Ben Stiller show after 13 episodes of the first season and it still won an emmy. If you like this clip you should all check out "die hard 12: die hungry." classic stiller
@plismdp I am WELL AWARE that there is no audience. This was a "Single Camera" show. I was being sarcastic while pointing out how painfully UN-FUNNY this hack is!
Anyone here have a copy of the early 13-episode MTV version of this he did (from 90-91)?? Guess it never made it to DVD, and it certainly doesn't seem to be circulating online...
