One of my viewers commented that they would like to see this procedure. What about you? Which knife should I do next?

How about the Infidel? It's a neat design. Its opposed locking arms and leaf springs aren't typical in the OTF world.

A masterclass on a 9400 disassembly and reassembly thank you very much. I get my knife in two days.

That does it, I need to sell my first production 9400. I never carried it, did not really like it. Certainly don’t ever want to disassemble.

Last time I took it apart. I had to send it back to life sharp to have them and fix it right this time. I got it together, but only because of this video. Thank you very much.

Do you recommend any oil for the blade or springs or anything? I just got a 9400 and the button that actuates the blade is very gritty. I'm assuming this will stop being gritty over time.
@CuttingBoardRx

I generally don’t like oiling my edc knives bc that can cause more pocket grit accumulation in the mechanism not to mention oil stains on my pants😂 The reason it feels gritty is the aluminum to steel interface and the fact that the button is under pressure from the main spring that pushes it against the hole. I just checked my 9400 vs Protech Strider and Microtech Stitch Auto. Guess what? all of them have gritty buttons. Most of knife people are also gun people and the thing to remember is that a knife is not a pistol, there’s absolutely no need for smooth “trigger pool” on an Auto knife. In fact, training to press hard and fast will ensure that your blade deploys more reliably. Good question, thanks!

I have the same driver and like it . I haven’t had to grind down any tips yet . I get about 5-6 grinds before they’re kaput . The husky drivers at Home Depot for $6 are great for knives , highly reccomend . Has t4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and you get a perfect fit because sometimes and t8 is a t9 or t7 fits better .

Interesting they use two springs, when most others just use one, wonder how it functions running on one?

Hmm. Good question! The best way to compare (maybe?) is to try out Benchmade Claymore and Mini Claymore. The first one runs on 2 springs and the second on one. I have videos disassembling both, maybe that’s helpful? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BsvIUVJUE30.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ndrVOeZGs70.html

Probably is to have a lower wear on mechanical components. Lower stress on spring, more surface contact, 1 spring each side keep the mechanism cencetered instead having only 1 spring that applies force on only 1 side. Using only one spring you don't have a simmertical distribution and the blade is not pushed perfectly only in one direction. I think using 2 springs make the machanism smoother. Sorry for my spaghetti english but I hope you can understand what I mean
