I felt the same way with the spacer on my big Crooked River but it eventually grows on you. They are pretty good knives.

I myself have carried a 940 for years. Thinking of maybe upgrading to a mini crooked River thinking about it just don’t know.

I agree with u on that backspacer dude. Aluminum would be way nicer, even if it was anodized orange.

LTK- I like the Crooked River models. Small complaints would be the exposed blade tang and that backspacer is too bright of an orange. They need to tone that down. I wasn't a big fan of the price increase once it became popular.

This is their best knife imo. Customizable able to get 20cv steel. The QC is a little better on these. It's the only BM I'd buy these days

MrGeerbear he customized through benchmade got 20cv steel prob 230-240 for the knife and the marbled carbon fiber was prob 80-100. Somewhere in that range is what he has into it

Bakken- Agreed why that backspacer is orange. The problem is it is a much brighter orange than the pivot collar. Needs to be toned down slightly.

Well made knife, but I agree with you. A knife with "wooden" scales just doesn't go with plastic orange anything... hardware would have been nicer if it matched the bolster. Enjoyed the vid!

I can tell you're not into this knife but it's a good user..the price is high but you'll find extremely worse pricing on the market..like the zts that start at 200.00 up to 800.00 that will fail with a simple bump on the spine.. titanium framelock's are the worst yet the most pricy!?!..i blame RU-vid for that trend.

I saw the video of the guy failing every ZT with a spine whack on a roll of tape. Of course who goes around spine whacking their knives. Most forces are made in the opposite direction. I do see it as a problem in a tactical situation where it may fold up on you.
