Hahah right. When he said kingsize bed, I'm laying in my queen in my bedroom that it barely fits in with a dresser. If I put a king I'd have no floor to walk around. Pretty nice feature for a tiny home.
What a genius use of all the extra space the bendy provides. This feels closer to a fixed home that way. The mid engine Volvo B10M which was a world wide hit for it's performance, longevity and reliability combined with the well made Fuji bodywork is an absolute winner. Thanks for the tour and the ideas shared.
I used to drive those for the Toronto Transit system. Much easier to drive because of the shorter front section wheel base. In the Canadian winter, they Sucked because the engine was over the first set of duel wheels and the back end jackknifed real easy. Great for a mobile home in a warm dry climate.
Very nice and roomy! only thing is with that much space I would need a more comfortable cozy lounge area and a little more space in the bathroom but that's just what I like and we are all different!
I agree. I understand keeping the bus benches as a bit of authenticity, but with so much detail to a large kitchen for gatherings, I would also make the living area more comfortable to spend evenings relaxing on a comfy sofa. I'd also make an additional sitting area over the opposite wheel well. I'm amazed at the kitchen and that you can carry enough water to operate a dishwasher! The office and bedroom are incredible as well, so I also personally felt the living area was neglected.
Sirs, I salute you both! It would not be RU-vid without people like you!. I would be honoured if one of you can share a link to something you gentlemen have created! I am so excited, I can not wait to see what perfection looks like!.
@@davymark4376 - I pity you your ignorance since you can't seem to be able to tell the difference between boys and girls. Oh, well! At least we won't need to worry about you polluting our gene pool by reproducing!!!
@Fmono • 38 years ago • Updated Well.. whenever you go there, here's my tips: -Stay out of the centre of the isle -Stay out of the long grass -Always go faster -Always stay in the front of the bus -Never, never EVER steal a t-rex baby
Finally, a build that doesn't have so much space being taken up to walk. Everyone I've watched i feel I can't stretch out or walk properly but the amount of space to even stand without feeling cramped in this bus is amazing
This is a really cool conversion, not only in the aesthetics but also in the function. It feels like it was designed for living and not for travel, which is an interesting departure from most coaches, and really shows a different design path which really worked out. I also really like the windows, while you have to open them to have a massive view, it looks like you can see out of them while standing and they let a lot of light in while keeping your privacy. I also really like the bed placement, and that you did a full, king size bed. You really got the light and airy design down, and it still feels very functional. Very nicely done! :-)
Hey I drive a later model of these Nick- I always wondered what customizing/ modding I coulf or would do if I ever got one.. very nice job on you're one. I had an idea if you could put a drop out ramp at the back (like atruck) and you could drive a small/ medium car in- then a trailbike attached on the outside of that.. all you need!
The ingenuity is simply wonderful. If I still traveled I would need this. A few bits and pieces and perfection. The kitchen is truly exquisite and I can see myself preparing meals in it. I have no doubt it will sell very quickly. Thank you for sharing your unique creativity. 🤗🤗🤗
I like the idea of the window tinting for the bedroom and maybe only half way up for the rest, with Roman shades to pull down when you want. The Roman shades wouldn't be so noisy when traveling either. You've given me so e really great ideas, thx!!!!
I really enjoy the aesthetics, beautiful finishes. Your girlfriend had a great idea to frost the windows, it really adds to the clean lines. It looks so professionally done. This is my first video of yours, glad it popped up in my feed. Howdy from Texas!
One of the nicer conversions I have seen yet. It really is magnificent and the craftsmanship is top notch. It's a really good-looking bus as well. Very cool!
Wow! I was just telling my wife, “wouldn’t it be cool if we found a DRIVING Airstream RV, and hooked it up to our 32’ Airstream travel trailer, with a bus type accordion”? Very nice work by the way!
Barbi Ruth I thought the same thing! I’d turn the rear into a car garage with a hatch ramp and pull a small vehicle up inside of it for travel 🤔 then you don’t have to move the whole bus to just run around for errands etc
It's beautiful ! I love it ! Great job ! Only that I would not have blocked my view windows,i would have put curtains or blinds, but that depends on the owner of this beautiful bus,👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
Super cool vehicle. Gotta say though all those windows that you can see precisely nothing out of, especially when sitting down, are pretty silly. Might as well be in a random flat in anywhere-ville at that point.
Mostly I am just jealous of your build. Mine were about twenty four feet inside length built on C-60 Chevrolet 8.2 Detroit chassis with the full size Thomas Bus 22,000 pound GVWR. In grade school we went to the North Carolina state Capitol in Raleigh and saw the wealthy Duke families personal rail car they used extensively for travel having it towed with passenger trains. Your build with all that open expansive room reminded me of those days sixty years ago. If I were to set out to build something like yours I could not think about it and might give up before starting if I "thought about it too much". I could live in this space permanately. Doing some Department of Motor Vehicles searches I've discovered that RVS here in the U. S. may be 55 feet (17 meters) 65 feet or even 75 feet in some States if they are Combination Vehicles (trailer) or atriculated. Thanks a million for your response.
“It was my girlfriend’s great idea to put tint on the windows for privacy. Except in the bathroom and bedroom. I decided to tint the windows everywhere except the bathroom and bedroom.”
Brilliant! We hated those buses in London, but you have made an artwork. I love how the 'bend' effectively makes two residences - live/sleep. Of course, we would all make changes. Why the frosted window at the study? Top job.
Nice way to put new life into an old Volvo (the most fun I ever had on a bus was riding in the seat just behind the turntable of an ex-Adelaide Volvo B58 Brown Bomber artic down the rather hilly/bumpy west coast drive in Perth to Hillarys Boat Harbor and seeing this video reminds me of how much fun I had that day)
Yeah, this is too big to be practical. Finding parking spaces is more than likely a nightmare and to be quite honest there is a lot of wasted space in that bus. It looks slighty more roomy than an RV but not roomy enough to justify all the wasted space.
He's Australian, there's 25m people on the whole continent, as long as he stays out of Sydney and Melbourne he'll be fine, he'd probably even get away with parking in Adelaide as long it's in the suburbs.
Very nice! very cool i would love to have this size of a camper . Ive not seen one with the trailer like this .Its not any american campers like this .Not that i ever seen.
Greetings from Yamba Australia. My son lives in Armidale and it's cold in winter. Perhaps you could install a small wood burner for heat. Looks great .
My town had a record winter this year, not for coldest temp but for how consistently cold it was all winter. Averaging _ -40°C to -50°C. One day was -65°C with wind chill. I could still live in this with a wood stove lol.
@@bazz2438 LOL .We think the same thing when you say it's hot or dry. It does snow in Armidale and the nights there get below freezing point. I live on the coast where it is 20-30 c throughout the year.. Cheers.
You think, yes he would need to store things before traveling: as I am sure he would take the glass bowl off of dining table before stepping on the gas.
You should look into the roll up blinds. Easy and hides away nicely. Venetian blinds are awful to deal with. Having those windows in the front all glazed would drive me nuts. Beautiful build all around.
This is amazing, but there's so much space to do so much more with lol, but I have a whole family so I'd need 2 bedrooms at least and 1.5 baths. So I would utilize this space a lot differently!
Sweet mate. Get one in good condition. Especially the bendy part which is called the bellows. Us welcome to email me for advice at tlats10@gmail.com. all the best
This is sweeeet. My dream. One like this or a double decker newer bus. Cool. Bus makes better RV. Build it your way. Beats Any class A really if you want to
