MrsFefeNinja Keira Knightly always finds the most fun ways to have an interview, and to make the one she's interviewing comfortable. She's like the female version of Ben.
I'm glad Keira is a good co-star on set to be around. Benedict once admitted he can be quite a perfectionist, and it's fortunate Keira is patient enough that he feels he can laugh around her.
I know this is years later, but you said you never get over his voice 😂 have you seen the jaguar commercial he voiced over? If not, watch it, amazing!!!!
eblalgen Assuming he's a loyal gent, though, that giddiness is either from just a fun friendship with Keira or he started the day off happily with his fiancée Sofie Hunter :)
this makes me sad, because I've never seen him like that around... his wife, for example probably only Keira, Martin Freeman and Simon Pegg have seen the real Benedict. And also Zachary Quinto
Nina Tabbal I was concerned about that, too, but after looking at some pictures, I realized that Sophie only really smiles a big broad smile when it's at Benedict, not the paparazzi.
Watching Keira Knightley interviews for some of her films, she always seems to get along so well with all her co-stars and brings out the fun side of them!
I totally agree. I don't know much about Keira Knightley, but either she's one of those actresses who makes sure her costars are totally at ease around her so they can have the best performance possible, or they just became good friends, or both. But when a costar helps bring the other out of their shell, more movie magic than usual is likely to occur.
Laura Zaetz Keira has been a friend of Benedict for years, I think that makes the difference, and also she treats him as an equal in a moment where anyone in doing that, probably. And she has that kind of personality that makes even the shyest one talk a lot.
"...He's a friend people get over it. What is this thing of any male friend has to be a bromance?" Thank you seriously Benedict Cumberbatch. Anyone care to answer his question?
Bromance is actually the word for two guys who have a strong friendship, and are attracted to each other's personalities. It originated in Scrubs I think? It has only been made sexual/romantic by Tumblr
coolbean08 Yes. It's just attraction on a friendship/brother level between two man. But sadly people get confused by all the pairings and ships (that should only be used for fictional characters) and made bromances almost weird...
+karate150 It's to titillate their own selfish longings. They honestly don't care about the characters at all. They only care about what they want. They never were real fans... which is quite disappointing.
Wait, wait wait waitwaitwait, we are almost _always_ overly conscious about the difference between bromances and romances. I ship a crap ton of ships, but I would say Ben and Tom have a bromance and not a romance. I think the problem here is that other people are confusing the definition of the terms. Bromance doesn't mean romance. Bromance is when two people are really good friends. Romance is when people have chemistry together and would make a good couple. Shipping can usually occur with either, but bromance and romance are generally mutually exclusive. I resent that you say shippers only ship people together because of our own selfish longings. Maybe that's true for some of them, but for most of us, it's because we see a chemistry that could better be explored if it's not already, which is most of the time (i.e. shipping Black Widow and Hawkeye together in the MCU rather than the Hulk and Black Widow, which is what has happened). I apologize in advance if I'm taking anything wrong here, but I hate when we get generalized and how negative our connotation is when most of us are nice people.
Sherlock Holmes and Elizabeth Swann ... My two most favorite people (tho I probably have more crush on Keira). We need to see more movies with these two!!!
Aw, Benedict, bromance doesn't automatically mean gay or shipping. Bromance usually means a very close friendship between two males. :) That's what I see him and John on Sherlock as.
***** I wasn't making him seem disgusted. And some people use the term, I do as well, it's just cute in some cases. But most guys don't care for it or get it. If people wanna say it, not a big deal.
Has anyone ever seen the uncut version of this interview. They obvious did more because they still have cards in their hands at the end. This is so terrific because you get to see them more relaxed and natural than usual. I wonder if they are doing play dates now. Eddie and Christopher were born about the same time and the two families don't live too far apart in London.
this is very very cool! when the most attractive British actress meets the most attractive British actor (at least in my opinion) and they made such a good friend 😆
kuribo1 Hard not to fall in love with her, especially when she's as relaxed as she is here with Benedict. But you are so right. Astonishingly beautiful. Breathtaking, really. How does he maintain his focus? She matches his charisma easily. Great chemistry. "And up next, on The Knightly Cumberbitches Talk Show, why look who it is, it's Graham Norton!"
Benedict is the Best Sherlock ever. I am 86 years old and I have watched all the Sherlocks but Cumberbatch is the best. Love Sydell Pascale. (Cumberbitch). 💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
they are soul mates I knew there was a reason I loved Keira the moment I knew her through Pride and Prejudice (I watched Pirates of Caribbean reeaaaally late). Now I adore Benedict with all my heart and brain.
I know they’re both in stable marriages but they would have made a fabulous couple. I’ve read Kiera speaking wistfully about how Benedict disappeared from her life when his career took flight. I was surprised to see someone of her star power taking a supporting role, albeit a very interesting one, but she said she immediately said ‘yes’ without reading the script when she heard Benedict had been cast. She’s been candid about the challenges of her marriage, esp after children, & while promoting ‘Last Night’, she said that she relates to her married character’s wistfulness for a relationship that might have been.
I guess this is my all time favorite interview from now on, even tho it’s old. It’s so grounded and made me smile the whole time. The both of them are just amazing and gosh their friendship is so lovely^^🥰
Dear who ever is reading this, I would like to thank you for being in this world today, you are an amazing person and you should be proud of who you are! I hope you are having a good day, if your not I hope that it improves. Goodbye now. don't forget, you are amazing.
And thank you Grace for this (despite being in no way related to this video and probably doesn't belong in the comment section) lovely comment!! brightened my day thank you! go round spreading more love xx :)
I watched the penguins of Madagascar and I didn't know if the wild was him or not, the only way I knew was because of his voice and the fact that he said 'Pengwings' all the way through it!!! 😂🤣
Benedict always seems to choose roles where he has complicated relationships or almost no relationships onscreen. I think he does not want to end up like a Ryan Gosling, being stuck in The Notebook role for years.
