I'm glad they added this unique behavior to the game. It will be good to see such a unique animal that is a rare find instead of just showing up to it's drink zone and blasting away.

I just hope they aren't as buggy/broken. Lions have never worked for me. They teleport, stand in one place and do nothing, or get stuck in an animation loop until they die.

I hope that some of the tiger mechanics eventually get added to lions and pumas, maybe even bears and wolves, but not as extreme.

That second one is definitely golden! The two on the bottom look like they're just white versions of the psuedomelanistic, kinda like how raccoons have piebald and blonde piebald THIS IS SO HYPE IM SO EXCITED

When I worked with tigers irl we had some cats with the first three rare colors on the top. We called the first one golden as well, but we referred to white ones with black stripes as Royal White hite, and the white ones with light gray stripes as Snowy White. Idk, if the game will refer them to that, but that's what we called them. Additionally the ones with a ton of black on them are called pseudo-melanistic, although Id imagine some people call them cross tigers like people do with red foxes (geez now that I said that, they need to make that a fur type for R. Foxes)

I’m going to say that the Tiger and its mechanics are the reason for the higher price point and i totally agree with the increase. I do say that I hope that the hunting tiger doesn’t interfere with our ability to hunt other animals on the map by spooking them all away before we can get a shot, though. I am DEFINITELY going to be hunting for the darker pseudomelanistic coat type. That guy will be my ultimate grail diamond! ❤

I was just talking to my friend about how I felt so bored with cotw since I basically knew exactly what the animal was going to do. With this, im super excited to finally get some randomness to actions, and the idea of being prey sounds super fun

Love this idea! It will give reason for big revolver as a side arm in a load out. Hopefully they adjust the aggression and behavior of some of the other predators aswell as this would bring new life to alot of the older maps too!

I'm so excited for this map. When he said "bring your dog", I was like "yes sir!" because my dog has helped warn me of wolves before. So I can imagine he will be even more helpful with tigers.

I've heard from a friend that they are using a similar mechanic that was used in the game Alien isolation for anyone who has played that..... In that game the alien stalks the player responding to their movements across the map. Literally can't wait for this!

I haven't bought any of the dlc maps yet, but guarantee this will be one of the maps I get when I buy some of them. Also I love the horror aspect of not knowing where the tiger is even when you hear it.

this was a problem i always had with call of the wild: the lack of real fear when hunting dangerous game like bears, pumas, or lions. with the tiger though, it looks like they're really hammering home why they are some of the most dangerous animals on the planet, and i love that.

They could put tigers on Medved too. It would be nice to see similar mechanics with future animals (maybe things like polar bears) and even with older animals.

Good shoutout Flinter about the mountain lions on SRP, they're immersion is reduced by the high quantity of them in one place. Also pumped for Jaxy to confirm that both the Puma/PF and Mountain Lion/SRP "roaring" bugs will finally be fixed! Big cats are some of the game's coolest species, sounds like they're rounding them back into shape. Could they re-wire Vurhonga's Lions with this type of mechanic? I'm guessing irl lions hunt in bigger packs and less solitude than tigere, just curious. About time that rare animals are actually rare and hard to find!

The whole "you wont know which direction you hear the roar from" has me a bit unsure. I like not being able to ping to vocalization. But i hope we can still actually hear the direction its coming from and its not just a stock sound that blasts through both speakers at once every time

This could be the implementated way forward of limiting those super rare animals. maybe on Africa 2.0 we see Elephant herds of females and young which can get aggressive but you can only score on the lone male bulls etc. Lone rhinos as well maybe limited in number Dangerous 7 could well be in the future along with plains game species.

I remember when lions came out, I was hunting by a lake when a lion came out of the brush and killed me, then sprinted to the outpost and killed me again when I respawned. I used to think lions were so aggressive lol, this should be fun

I hope that they give a similar sort of behaviour to pumas and lions in future. And they should eventually kind of rework the way predators are in general, maybe lynx and small preds attack and kill rabbits?

I wonder what the male to female ratio will be, and how often they’ll score diamond or be rare. I also hope they don’t 100% stalk you every time, cuz they would be unrealistic, they flee sometimes obviously. I also really like how there’s minimal tigers on the map cuz it’s actually realistic! Can’t wait to grind them tho 😂

Thank goodness they are making it more skilled based to hunt the tigers. Everything feels too easy to hunt rn especially due to drinking zones and stuff like that. Overall, I’m hundred percent excited for this new map, and excited to see what the tigers and other animals are like on this new map.

I`ve read an old hunting book from the age of Maharajas, and the writer has seen many hunting methods for tiger in that time. I think that treestands and tripods will be your friends. Wink wink. 😁 let`s hope that tigers can`t reach you up there. I can`t wait to bow hunt tigers. 😁 I think it`s gonna be a bowhunting map too with many usable trees like New England Mountains.

Eh I’m not sure about being actively hunted while on reserve. I already avoid wolf maps a lot as dealing with aggressive wolves is a pain

I hope they take what they’ve done with the tiger and put it on other predators. Maybe make have lion prides and they only stay in their home range. Hunting grizzly bears feels the same as hunting deer to me. Hope we get some love to the predators in the future.

Maybe the rare tigers are kinda like a Great One to some extent, since they will be so hard to get. When I am able to play the game again (my PlayStation has been broken for nearly a year) I'm not sure whether to go for the erythristic tiger or a GO tahr. I guess it depends on how good the tahr looks.

Heyyy Flinter thanks for the update. I already get hunted by Water Buffalo on Parque. That's aggressive enough for me. I am wondering though. If there is one male tiger per area what about females? I guess tigers are in pairs so it would be 1 male tiger and 1 female tiger per area for a total of 32 tiger on the map at a time? If you hear a roar and whip out a tripod will the tiger flee or just back off wait for you to relax and get down then start stalking you again? Since I can't handle horror movies, the idea of this stresses me out. But I will enjoy watching you play the new map when it comes out.

The way the Bengal Tiger can stalk you is nuts and how they have home ranges 🤯, now replace that with a Rex. I'm still waiting for EW to make a map that takes us back into time and puts us in the late cretaceous period. We have the weapons in the game to deal with dinosaurs. The .470 is more than capable of dealing with almost any Dino. I just feel like EW has a chance to bring a whole another base to the game. I know they have Primal, but why not make one using this game engine.

So happy they did black tigers! I think the second and third tiger on the bottom row could be pseudo-mela white tigers or just something like piebald. Obviously you’ll have the common fur type, I think Gold and White will be the uncommon with white being the more unlikely of the two and then all the others are rare furs with different probabilities of getting. I think, and this is unbiased but the mela should be the rarest one to get because there’s been one fully melanistic/black tiger ever recorded.
