I wanted them to take G/C-Mahogany and G/C-Bortellini in the 4th and 5th. The interior of the o-line is average and Karras and Cappa have 1 and 2 years left on their contracts. Haynes in the third would be good, but I'm ok with taking Burton

It actually gets much easier to get value later in the draft than early in the draft. In round 1 its stupid hard to get a consensus guy even 15 picks later. In the 7th round you can find giuys 100 picks apart.

Joe we have Sheldon rankings to be the pass rusher and Jennings is for run we ranked bad at stopping the run so Jenkins early downs and rotate pass rusher.

Rankings average 3 sacks per year the last 4 years, that guy is not a pass rusher. he had 6 last year but before that he had 3, 3 and 1.5 sacks. We drafted 2 rotational DT's with premium picks. We end up with Mims as the only potential starter in 2 years.

@@Michael-tj5bk that’s what the edge guys are for? I mean Kris Jenkins was never asked to rush the passer so he could develop that skill set as the season goes on. Also we can bring Joseph ossai inside on obvious pass rushing downs to get pressure on the qb.

I’m not a big fan of the McLachlan pick because of the roster compromises he represents, but I think you have to understand when portraying him as a prospect who’s long in the tooth, that he went to HS in Canada where HS is five years not four. So not totally his fault he’s an older prospect.

Matt Lee is great in pass pro but the run game is not good. Still love the pick. Josh Newton has top 5 coming into the season tape from 2022.

What does all this mean for Charlie Jones? Did he bust in practice and the team already give up on him? I was under the impression he would be Boyd's replacement. I know he was injured but they have to have some idea of who he is. Great show Joe!

I don’t see how Mimms is being assessed properly as having this low floor. Unless that’s acquainted only to his health and risk for injury, and inability to stay on the field because of healthy Mimms is probably better than the best version of Jonah Williams. When you look at his size, athletic ability, and what he did put on tape when he’s on the field how’s his floor not better than an average lineman like Jonah Williams?

I love all our picks I believe Bengals were in on estime until Broncos moved up and took him 2 picks before us. Mclathlan Burton Mims 3 favorite also chiefs tried to come up in front of us Seattle to take Mims. I'm glad they didn't. Rumors I've heard Matt Lee was a steal also hearing drew sample used as a full back keep the tight ends. Mims can be used in jumbo packages Mims on either side left or right of Brown with sample as full back run behind Mims and either Brown leading the way.

Nice analysis! Sadly another typical Bengals draft seemingly. You don't sound too excited and I don't blame you. To walk away with what we got considering what was on the board is shameful really. You might say these are character pics maybe but I mean like listening to interviews with #1 and one word answers, like really? Don't mean to come off so negatively but these are the kinds of pics they been missing on already.

I wish people knew how to actually evaluate offensive lineman. I can't articulate how frustrating it is to hear people who have no idea how to actually evaluate the technical aspect of offensive line play give "expert" opinion on the position. Goodberry said Mims has a low floor based on games played. He doesn't know anything about shoulder to hip ratio. Doesn't know what elbow flair means. If he actually knew he wouldn't say Mims is a B

Tbf don't take everything he says as factual and its easier to consume. He misses so often each draft, and never brings it up. I like the work he does don't get it twisted, but the amount of times I see his cult like fans source him as this "can't ever be wrong" card is just wild.

@@HermsWorldWide I'm looking to hit 50% of my evaluations. That's a good number. So, yes, I have missed a ton. Over the course of 15 years, I've missed 1,000 times. There are plenty of examples. But, if I can hit 50%, I'm doing GREAT.

The Bengals have zero Superbowl wins and barely 2 HOFers. Should tell you all you need to know. They drafted a bust in Murphy and Hill... Have drafted over some guys from 2021 in this draft. This draft looks better than the previous two, but it's the Bengals so it probably is on par

Rd 1 C injuries/ hasn’t played a full game in college but he’s going to be better playing in the NFL 17 games not happening Rd 2 c he’s not a pass rusher Rd3 A Burton Rd3 D way to early Rd4 D Rd5 C Rd 6 C Who cares after that The little girl who works the McDonalds drive through window could have drafted better
