While some may question having an Orange march in Spain which is a Catholic country it is worth looking at the bigger picture. For a start Spain experienced a campaign of terror for several decades by the Basque separatists, ETA, an organisation that had close links with the IRA and no doubt many Spanish resent ETA in the same way many of us resented the IRA and anything that is anti-IRA could be seen as also anti-ETA. Furthermore Pope Alexander VIII is believed to have favoured William III over the deposed King James II at the Battle of the Boyne as the latter was being supported and financed by France's Louis XIV and the Pope wanted the French King's expanansionist plans to be curtailed. A James II victory at the Boyne would have had him reinstated as Monarch, albiet a puppet one with Louis XIV calling the shots in the UK.

now i love my country so much i moved out off it ( thatchers kid doing good in Europe ) but this lot are a joke , i was a gers fan till the 19th ( Scotland shame ) but to see this lot running round singing we are the people, before they go cash there giro was to much for me and i turned my back, now i see why , and this lot as said are a joke bringing up old history that should be put to history.

+Gersqueen Anderson Theres one thing that has always puzzled me & that is, with all the marching around these wallopers do, why are they all so fat? There's a type to these bigots. Terminally obese, red faced, balding, gap - toothed, beer-bellied, slack-jawed, mouth - breathers & ugly as a burglar's dog. You can spot them a mile off. They're riding around on mobility scooters by the time they reach 45. Perhaps it's all the bitterness seeping out of them.
