Thank you very much. I have always had a thing about Benidorm and never wanted to visit. Last week we attended a wedding in Calpe and had two nights to kill before going to the wedding. We booked The Mecure in Benidorm and I watched a few of your videos. Because of you we found a few lovely places to eat, by the huge paella dish. Went to bars that were 90% Spanish, ordering and chatting in my basic Spanish. We had a lovely time and will definitely return; never thought I would say that, thanks again 👍x
Hi its really good blog and nice to see people saying differnt things on the prices in benidorm and it still a lovley place to go keep safe a keep smiling thank you again lucy
Just got back. As an example a few years back, used to leave our apartment and have a few in the 4 kings where you could get a bottle of Amstel for a euro. Now it’s €1.75. All in all though, drinks remain relatively cheap and there are still good deals/bargains to be had. Food is also up a little but the value for money is still excellent, China garden, Nepali tandoori and the new Brazilian opposite winners were all favourites.
People say Uncle Peds is the cheapest in town but directly opposite in the 4 star Riviera they do bottles of Estrella ( the red 5.2% one from Barcelona not the 4.8 one from murcia ) for 90c ! Their front terrace open to the general public has much more confortable seats and their screen for the footy is the biggest and clearest I've seen . Waiter service too .
Hi Lucy, we were over a week ago (great to catch up with you and get a wee photo.) 😊 We visited loads of places we'd seen on here. (Kay had a list 😂) We went to tapas alley one evening and for 6 tapas and 2 beers it was €18... great value. We're back over for Christmas and New Year and still have loads of places to see. Thanks for the brilliant videos. xx
Benidorm is still great value when you're out and about, but I do feel that the hotel prices are way more than they should be - many £100-150 per night for very small rooms.
Hi Lucy - always went A/I so we could budget our holiday but lately depending "what you drink & what quality & the surroundings Benidorm is head & shoulders above the rest of Spain, at one time A/I was very good value for money but now with the hotels increasing their prices there is no need to go A/I - the bars offers etc can be cheaper
I was in Benidorm last June and came back from Mallorca a week ago, prices for food and drink were, on average, 50% more in Mallorca. Had a great time in Mallorca but Benidorm has something for everyone and all budgets.
Popped into v winners bar sat night massive storm hope everything is OK in your bar today after all that rain. Nice to have met you in your bar keep up the gd work Lucy.
Hi Lucy, thank you for saying hello to the Glasgow Boys last weekend. Thanks for my request to say hello and thank you sincerely for youre posts, which gave us so much info....much ❤️
Great stuff, as always, Lucy. I think that there has been a price hike on spirit prices more than on draught and bottles beers but compared to elsewhere, we're still probably the cheapest resort in Europe.
It was great to get to meet you last Saturday evening,. I think the price's generally have increased , still cracking good value for money thou. Best wishes and good luck Lucy.
Another great topical video ..prices are still good for Benidorm ....my local Spanish owned watering hole is 2.50 eur for a Litro 👍been that price for 9 yrs 😁
As I prefer a week away on my own I like to go half-board, not being much of a drinker a couple of bottles and live entertainment suits me. Hope to be there next year.
Just booked to come back for a month in a months time and our campervans fees are still the same as last year's as is the electric price. Was very surprised
Just back from super 10 days. Hotel Montesol, super location and great value. Food in canteen also very good and staff fantastic. Very close to super gym fitness dreams. 🇮🇪
great video, Lucy. not only is Spanish lager better, but it's also cheaper in the local bars, especially in the old town. the bars along the levante beach and new town, tend to be more expensive.
At home you don’t have to pay for flights and a hotel. Of course going out in Benidorm is cheaper than home. But for the price and hotel prices you can go to places much cheaper.
We as a family have always gone full board, the initial outlay may be greater but on balance we think this way works out cheaper overall.None of us are big eaters but the opportunity is there to eat as much as you want.Watching some of the gluttons making pigs of themselves it would cost them a fortune to eat out.We occasionally eat out and find Benidorm prices reasonable as are the alchoholic drinks.Anyway if you can't blow a bob or two on yourselves what is the point of going on holiday?
Ate out yesterday favourite Spanish Restaurant Los. Montaditos 9 euros menu del dia for years and years Now 11 Euros 4 courses Took my 3rd course home as too much food .
We paid around £150 more for our weeks holiday full board compared to what we have budgeted in the past. I found lager to still be good value, we were paying 1.50 to 2 euros a pint of either lager or shandy through the day. Cabaret bars at night were around 3.50/4 euros. Spirit's such as vodka was expensive 5/6 euros at night but you get more than you do here in the UK. I've recently been to Magaluf and the prices there have gone through the roof looking on average 4 to 5 euros day and night just to sit in a bar without entertainment plus the high cost of tourist tax it makes Benidorm a huge bargain. After going to Magaluf for over 30 every year that has stopped after this year, never again however we will continue with our lads holiday every year upto now in Benidorm
I think you also need to take in to account that the rate on the euro is rubbish at the moment so it makes it a bit more expensive, hopefully, not for too much longer x
Hi Lucy. Going November 19-29. Hope to see you then. I find San Miguel is very gassy as are most lagers compared to back home. But as people say it is cheaper. Red Lion 2 charged us 10 euros In June for 2 gin and tonics and 2 Bacardi and coke, local.
In Belgium, depending on where you are, you often pay 2.50 to 3.5 euros for a 0.20 cl coke. So expensive. Normally the cola bottles were 0.25cl, now suddenly 0.20cl. Get less, pay more in Belgium.
Normally a very quiet time of year, between the Fiestas and Xmas. Christmas crowd don't arrive until around the 20th usually, but this year we have the World Cup.. so not sure how busy it will be.
When I was in Benidorm at the end of June I thought it was still cheap. My dad and I got a t bone steak with chips, pepper sauce and a can of coke each in the Yorkshire pride all in it was €47 all in its only up €2 from 2019
Hi Lucy Tam from Bathgate here prices over the last 5 years you can hardly notice the difference , in the uk most measures are 25 mill your deffo getting at least a 50 mill measure over in benidorm so still cheap and the food is never dear especially brekky
I’m coming in November for the fiesta. First time there. Was worried about how much to take with me so thank you for this…..I’ll keep my eyes open for you…..we will be 7 girls on tour 😂
Avoid the bars on the front and on the main Avenida as they are dearer. Go to the old town bars etc. The prices on the strip are dearer but it's much livelier. The most we paid for a drink anywhere was 4.50 euros for a pint. Go off the main drag to have a bevvy then back on it to top night off. Winners bar is a must by the way!
I'm going benidorm in November my first ever holiday abroad going self catering so this vid good to know do you know what weather be like end of November time there please x
A studio for one person close to stores and restaurants. What's the average price in the winter if i go to a Spanish real estate office ? Thanks in advance.
I'm just back from four weeks Benidorm with my daughter, who lives there. Since the pandemic the prices have gone up a lot. It's really not that cheap like before. Especially the supermarket have become so expensive! The prices there are now the same like in The Netherlands, expensive. Also the prices of clothes are doubled. A meal is still cheaper than in The Netherlands. You can have a meal for 13 euros. I only drink water and cola zero and that was still cheaper than in The Netherlands. For 3,50 you can have a cola. In The Netherlands I've paid 7 euros for that.
around six years ago went to Tenerife (February) we were getting 95cents to the £pound everything was IMO mega expensive. Benidorm is and always will be my choice.
@@hetrodoxly1203 Sorry but in Playas De Las Americas when Ii was there it Was 95 cents maybe I was in the wrong places but everyone including me were complaining about the rates.
Hola Lucy. Good topic. ;-]. I cant help wondering if consumer businesses here in UK and other countries have pumped up prices MORE than they need to in some cases, {not all} . Using the news headlines of the cost of living as an excuse to sometimes charge over the top. I wont mention anything about the B word playing any possible part in wholesale price rises here.;-]. 🤨🤨😆😆
Lucy will be over in two weeks. Could you do a vlog for covid passports as one of the other vloggers in Benie have done a vlog saying you no longer need a covid passport for Spain. Which we found is not the case. This would save a lot of problems for people traveling to Spain. See ya soon x
Hi! I think you still need your covid pass, but no longer p.l.f.. I watch the other vlogger too and the way she explained it everything has stopped.. not the case as " Mallorca under the sun" replied to it.
Just got back from benidorm and the prices have gone up ? Meals at john and Joseph 10 to 12 euros double vodka and lemonade 6 to 7 euros if you can drink the cheap lager your ok ? So it all depends on your taste?
Just received notice on Tuesday September 20 that the QR code is no longer required to enter Spain. Also, Canada dropping the ArriveCan bologna as of September 30. It works for us as we arrive to Spain on September 24!
Ambassador is €214 a night compared to €93 the same time last year. That means flights and hotel for a week for two people is now approaching €2,000 without spending money, if it’s that price next year i’ll be looking elsewhere. I don’t go to Benidorm for a cheap holiday and I don’t go for the price - but the current prices for accommodation and flights at least are too much.
We recently spent a week in benidorm, and couldn't believe how expensive everything had got...yes can get a cheap beer in a shithole pub but a nice drink in a quality bar is super expensive....food also has gone up so much
Ate out yesterday in a favourite Spanish restaurant Was 9 euros for years and years Now 11 Euros 4 course menu del dia.Los Montaditos Value for money lunch time
