Never stayed in a hotel since my kids were little. Don't get me wrong, I've had some good holidays and saved money back then, but now, the freedom of an apartment is awesome. No standing in queues for food and drink, and I love to think I'm helping out the local businesses by dining out. Thank you for your informative video Lucy xxx

Hi folks, we have stayed at Torre Lugano a few times it is a magnificent building ultra modern with 6 super efficient lifts. Every facility is there that you could ever need including all rooms have built in silent air-con. Hopefully we will be there next month & back again in September. Sergio who is the host of Benidorm Sky is a super super gent & couldn't be more helpful. Yes there is a bit of a climb to get to the block but well worth it once there. We intend to be there at least twice every year if not more!!! Highly recommend to all.

Loved this Lucy. Would also love to see a "Moving to Benidorm" type epsiode. Perhaps showing with an estate agent or two what type of seaview apartment you could get for say £150k. Then perhaps a little bit on what red tape moving to Spain involves would be great. Super video as always :-)

Same here.i once booked an apartment in Benidorm. Specified low floor amd was put on the 10th floor. I hated it. Always double check now. Lol Good to see the place coming back to life. Great video btw.

You should do more hotel / accommodation walk throughs. It's informative for viewers and you might even be able to make a few Euros from hotels looking to promote themselves.

Peter shop in the bigger supermarket reasonble prices but in Spanish but you will manage. Menu del DIA excellent prices from 8 euros up to 25 euros but prices are displayed outside .usually including half bottle of wine .You will. Manage ok

our type of holiday we prefer apartments to hotels with hotels you get up for breakfast at a certain time stay out while the room is being cleaned with apartments just lock up in the morning and stay out for the day have breakfast and dinner out so much better

Any time we used to have family’ come to stay we always suggested beninter and Gemelos 2 and gemelos 20 which are great complexes. Don’t have a house in the area anymore but we love gemelos 20 and hotel Villa del mar. Room 106 is exceptional.

Yes same here we've always stayed in apartments, but we had a change in 2019 we booked Hotel Prince Park. It was a lovely hotel and the food was nice and the pool/bar but didn't enjoy it like I do in apartments. I hated clock watching and waiting to go for breakfast and evening meal. So much freedom in apartments, go out when you want and eat what you want.. 😁😎🥃🍷

I recommend Torre d’Oboe. Located behind the Rio Park Hotel, these 114m, 30 storey twin buildings have the best views over Benidorm. The apartments are modern and spacious. The recreational areas are also great in my opinion. I’ve stayed here many times and I think they’re the best apartments in the city for a reasonable price

At the moment it doesn't make much difference as the borders are still closed to the UK until the end of May at least. In a few weeks when its the next review, Spain will be further along with the vaccination and hopefully in a position then to open to the UK and be put on the green list.

@@LucyYoungTBE But Lucy, you as always avoid the difficult & painful questions: What if Spain goes from green to red overnight? You could be looking at eye watering numbers. Who's going to book a holiday with so much uncertainty? Who wants a stick put up their nose?

Is this right for current amber status? I’ll need a test 72 hours before leaving, 72 hours before departure (in Spain) then on days, 2 and 8 after returning to UK? Anyone know the cost of taking private test in Spain, and where to get it done. The UK side do a package for about £150 but not sure what the Spanish side is for coming home. Hopefully, this is going to be made easy and cheaply for tourists, if the requirement remains.

Here in the U.K. we are not allowed to go to Spain, so you won't see many English tourists unfortunately. It's also so jarring to think about all the testing, especially if you plan to holiday with others, as if a holiday wasn't stressful enough! But saying that I do hope things get better, I just don't see that happening anytime soon, no matter what anyone says!
