Amazing to see the cleanliness and the lovely tiled colourful pavements, I love to see that people on the continent take pride in their surroundings, not like here in the UK.

Benidorm has been a place I've avoided based on the reputation it has for 'British misbehavior and the lager lout problems'. What you've shown is that it's a much more civilised and worthy place to visit. I'm now tempted to give the place a try and seek out some of the places you've shown. Great review.😎👍
The 'vantage point' is called the balcon, the side you walked along is the 'Poniente' beach - where the more mature people stay. The other side is the 'Levante' side, which is the lively side. The 'Old town' is behind the 'balcon' & spreads out in a fan shape between the two halves of Benidorm.

Our local council in the west Midlands they think a hole repair in the road consists of throwing tarmac into the hole. Then driving over it with the wagon. I kid you not. Wished I could retire somewhere like you are beautiful

Most people who slag off Benidorm have never even been. There is something for every age group, I'm 63 and have been many times with friends, family and even on my own. Loved it every time and never seen any trouble while I've been there.

Always enjoy the Esplanades end up walking miles! I think if you'd gone right to the end there's quite a nice marina there -that one place you passed covered in flowers would have tempted me in, looked amazing! You could always take a trip to see the waterfalls or caves (if it gets too hot) - the villages & hills around Benidorm & Alicante are worth exploring - didn't realise Valencia was that close, - somewhere inland along there I'm sure there's a big cliff face that looks like a skull - very spooky. Keep safe & having FUN! Cheers.
What a lovely time you’re both having. When you walk along the other end of the beach -Levante side (new town) take a look at the original old bungalow on the seafront, if it’s still there, all the hotels have been built around it. That little bit of land it’s on is probably worth a fortune. 😎
The hotel was called the hotel Los pelicanos in the Newtown ,we stay in the oldtown last Christmas at the hotel avendina it was beautiful ,all the Christmas decorations have a lovley time

Been to Benidorm lots of times and done the same walk as you did in the video, we always stayed at the Gran Bali Hotel, the tall black one in the background at 22:30 in the video, it was the tallest hotel in Europe at the time but probably not now, people used to base jump off the top with parachutes, glad to see your enjoying your holiday and thanks for taking us with you lol.

Much appreciated for showing this, I’ve never been down as far as that area before. You was on the Poniente Beach, the other main beach is called Levante. The Old Town is the area of narrow streets between the two beaches ( where you was at the start). Nice video…

Despite what anyone might say. Benidorm is the jewel in the crown of places to go for a holiday in Spain. Nowhere is perfect for everyone, but this place ticks all my boxes and Im quite a reserved and intelligent person. It's an amazing place even when you take the kids along. Love it
Something I've discovered living in Spain and liking a nice strong tea with no sugar is to use the skimmed (desnatata) as it is lighter and doesn't sweeten the tea. It makes it much more like a good builders tea. 😉

My family had a great holiday in Benidorm a few years ago, we stayed at the same hotel as yourselves. We couldn't fault anything. We loved the old town, especially at night. The locals were so friendly and welcoming.
Loving it Martin and Sharon my next door neighbour she used to live in benidorm her brother has got a villa there and she has made Spanish omelette and they are very tasty 👍👍👍👍

Great video, I've just returned from benidorm, went with misses and our 11 year old boy, the place is just fab, you can easily avoid the nut job areas, the beach is incredible, safe. Bit of everything for everyone in the Dorm. 😊
Lol I used to live in one of those apartments overlooking the ‘Julio Iglesias’ amphitheatre. We’ll that’s what it was called back then. I loved Benidorm, worked there in the mid 90s and it was a fun place to live. Hope to visit again one day.

We went for 10 yrs Anvers loved it did Neptune bar mateos bar and the pool derren wasnt there to topp a good holiday off we got a ours on madges scooter

You were walking along poniente beach the Mirador is the view point and the other side is Levante beach, if you walk into the old town look out for tapas alley

Sol pelicans is where they film Benidorm. Have stayed there on girls weekends away a few times. We noticed the staff keep eye on people coming in to hotel as they were reluctant to allow fans in. Morgan tavern over the road is a must..its legendary!m
Great videos! If you are standing in the sea, Poniente beach is on the left and Levante beach is on the right. Yesterday when you were next to the Ale-Hop shop, that's the Old Town. Go the opposite way along Levante beach and that takes you to the New Town where the Sol Pelicanos hotel is. Lots of Brits in this area along with KFC, McDonald's etc. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. It is called Poinente Beach it is a very different vibe I loved it we stayed at the Gran Delfin on the front up there used to go to Levante and when we had had enough of crowds go back to the peace and quiet. I love Benidorm.

We used to go benidorm every year and it was just like the programme. It was always buzzing and full of holiday makers. When my elder daughter was 3 it was last time we went,she is now 20 and visited benidorm last week whilst holidaying elsewhere and the photos and videos she showed us was like a place we had never been to . It sad to see its not like was as had some the best holidays in benidorm
