Hello "T" it's an area I have not been around but it was very interesting all your comments and it's nice to see parts of the resort you are not all that familiar with. Lots of love ❤️ Jim xxx
I prefer the market outside the sports stadium, feels like a traditional market as seen across Spain as opposed to the Mercadillo de Benidorm which is more typical of markets found in tourist hot spots. I really hope the latter finds a new home in or close to the New Town as Benidorm has room differing clientele for both markets. Long may they survive and prosper 🤞🤞
Thank you for in-depth info 👍..Looks like change and mondernisation is coming.. Hopefully locals of Benidorm will benefit more and not just us tourists...Where am I going to go on a Wednesday or Sunday morning if market closes..Was / is always a pilgrimage going there for some extra TaT that you always buy and don't need 🤣..❤❤💐💐
What a difference the fire made. When I went up Gypsy Lane the amount of fly tipping of furniture and deep freezers was staggering. As you say some of the views from the lane are staggering. I find it hard to believe that so many of the small farms and villas were abandoned and then just taken over by squatters. I have to say that t'top road doesn't do Benidorm any favours with so many closed down clubs and some that at still open like the Space Ship having an abandoned look. Further up the road before turning towards Albir is there a Sunday market at the antiques centre? 49/365
Can understand redeveloping this rundown area, but why so many hotels. Why not make it mainly social housing for the very many low paid workers in Benidorm. But I suppose the council want the big bucks, like the spawn of chinese shops, it brings in the dosh. Now, on a selfish note, I'm off to see if my holiday clothes have stretched since trying them on 3 days ago! Hasta sabado. ❤
