I didn't watch it the first time round I thought I will watch it and give go and it's brilliant I've watched it about 10 times since every episode lol 😂
@@jackwatsonepic626 I confess I was a bit of a snob about watching it when it was on. Couldn’t of been more wrong about my pre conceptions! Even the more lame and naff side of it has its place. Even Shane Ritchie is good in it and IMO possibly saves series 9 and 10.
@@DavieCooper-zz4kh what was left of them.. I hated Jaqueline being without him, and that stupid welsh goon from the green green grass which i hate , made it awful! It’s so odd they faked his ( Donald) death and did the bit he only had 6months to live .. hope it wasn’t one of those weird omens.
The first 6 series was the best ever then it went downhill when they changed a lot of characters. When donald died in real life and the garvey family left it was never ever the same after that.

The scene at the swim up bar with Janice and Kate slays me. It's the best scene in all of the series, imho. Series 1 &2 Janice is the best. Her character's changed the most, I think throughout the course of the show.
I'm in Benidorm now staying at the hotel with this pool. Went to Mateo's bar last night and met Derren Litten the writer of Benidorm. Still buzzing from it. I thanked him for all the hours of pleasure he had given me watching the series and he laughed saying not in front of the children aged 25 and 28 sat opposite us. What a fantastic sense of humour he has. 🤣😂🤣

I thought I was the only one. I pledged to never swear while pregnant. I now have a 29 year old daughter who no one in the family orvin her friend group has ever heard swear. Not a single swear word including the words 'hate', 'ugly' or 'fat'. Despite begging. My birthday is in a few days & all I want from her is to hear her say, "Happy Fucking Birthday"....lol.

My son in laws grandmother is Madge's doppelganger. Everything about her even down to her name and being an orange coloured bitch. She makes my daughters life absolute hell. Yet when she talks 'at' me I just (in my head) giggle.
Trekgrri3 - I do agree with that and also that Janice is just about the best funny woman around but I'm not too sure that her character has changed that much. She is very much the mum of quite a big family and plays that part brilliantly.

there is an island just off the Benidorm shore into the sea looks just like a wedge of cheese. we used to catch a ferry there and go swim and eat at a wonderful little restaurant on the island. also used to allow nude sunbathing as opposed to just topless. I call it CHEESE ISLAND BECAUSE OF THE SHAPE. in the episode where they got to the beach there was a quick shot of it in the back ground but i used to see it from the hotel room I stayed at the PUEBLO HOTEL many times.
