We are delighted to release the debut album of the outstanding French tenor Benjamin Bernheim. Accompanied by the PKF - Prague Philharmonia Orchestra under the baton of Emmanuel Villaume, Bernheim presents a varied programme on his debut Deutsche Grammophon album drawn from Italian, Russian and French operatic repertoire. In this video, Bernheim performs Massenet: Werther, Act 3: 'Pourquoi me réveiller, ô souffle du printemps?'.

Non, la diction est encore décevante. Les "r" sont avalés et les couleurs ternes. Et tout ça manque de clarté.

With a great respect to Tito Schipa, a tremendous artist and singer... but who died many years ago. I hope you could hear him live I had the chance to hear B Bernheim live in this aria, and I wish you the same. I prefer to look (and listen) forward - and not backwards to the past

To have a genuine Franophone tenor ( the first since Alagana and his roots are in Italy but thank God he was born in France) is thrilling but the silly video does nothing to enhance his artistry. I had hoped this ended with the hype surrounding Netrebko but DGG thinks this is a way to sell CD's.

@@chatbud Bernheim is sort of the hot tenor on the scene these days. The voice is like honey. His french is a bit odd, some words he enunciates so perfectly while others sound a bit off, wonder why. And i agree with you, these sort of MTV vids in classical music just look dumb. This producer should leave the field and go work for .. i dunno.. Celiiiine perhaps.

Great voice, excellent performance, a new star, but skip the video,please, this is ridiculous and undermines the performance, his solo performance and personal comments in another video are demonstrating the depth of his understanding,,which a video can never grasp!

I did like the voice and the music, it did not need clichéd video to detract from the intensity of the musical performance..Deutsche Grammophon stick to audio the visual industry is stuck in a groove..very boring..
