Lex's first question regarding the intense hatred against this leader asking him to address those haters was an excellent question. Am I the only one who noticed how BB just totally disrespected the question and refuse to answer it? A truly strong leader would try and answer a question like this, not just for an interview but for betterment of his nation.

Man, that voice definitely helped him in his career.

Apparantly Lex wanted him to answer about what he has to say to the people of Gaza but evertime Netanyahu turned that question to how much good Israel has done and is doing for anyone to not hate them.

The intro on this video made me really inspired and respect you on another level. That level of mindset is what we need to become better ourselves and despite a lot of bad in this world not becoming cynical and bitter about it. Instead keep looking for answers and improving ourselves in the most humane way.

This is going to start a wave of high value guests willing to sit down with Lex.

So many people in the comments saying Lex is bad or dumb for having this guest on. Those people obviously don't understand what Lex is all about. He wants to have conversation with all kinds of people. Far left, far right, center, war criminals, and social justice warriors. He understands that within everyone, is the ability to perform godly acts, and evil acts. He wants to gain greater understanding of this concept by talking to anyone he thinks he gain this type of knowledge from.

While heads of state have been interviewed at length before, I think this is one of the first times that someone who developed a media presence mostly on his own got to the point where they can have a pretty candid conversation at length on such a wide breadth of topics with a current head of state. It's the symbol of what this means that sticks out to me. Congrats Lex!

I'd honestly love to see Lex interview Erdogan, would have to be one of the most interesting podcasts ever.

The smart thing is knowing who you're interviewing and asking questions that allow them to reveal themselves.

This interview was a very interesting listen, certainly humanizing if nothing else. The only major question i have is regarding Netanyahu´s answers to the settlements. That part was concerning.

This guy makes Putin look like an angel in comparison.

This guy almost never goes off script. The only time you could get a glimpse of his true self is after you called him a politician.

I love how he says Israel has no competition for innovation while just neglecting the entirety of civilization.

Nice job getting this podcast secured but if you’re going to have guests like this then you need to have the courage to press him on the controversial statements he made and bring up counter points that others have said. It seems like this was more of an opportunity for Netanyahu to freely express his beliefs and propaganda. He even said that the settlements were justified because Israel needs more room for its citizens because of overpopulation and you didn’t push back at all. Even when he said that they weren’t removing Palestinians from the land you didn’t push back despite an immense amount of evidence being present that proves Palestinians are removed from their homes and land for Israeli settlers often accompanied by uniformed and undercover IDF. You should have asked about comparisons to South African apartheid. You should have asked about IDF violence against non Jews. You should have asked about judicial preferences against non Jews. You should have asked if these illegal settlements and drone strikes on residential neighborhoods and critical infrastructure have an effect on the hatred in the conflict. You should have asked about accusations that Israel is artificially changing the demographics in Jewish favor even including forced sterilization. You should have asked about Israel’s border growth over the past few decades. You should have asked about Shireen Abu Akleh who was killed by IDF and had her funeral raided. You should have asked about weekly raids on churches and mosques. You should have asked about routine raids on residential neighborhoods of non Jews. You should have asked about lax rules of engagement resulting in more civilian casualties than killed “terrorists” on almost every operation IDF takes part in. You should have had the courage to ask the hard questions, the important questions that people need to hear answered. I’m extremely disappointed at this interview because it was probably the only chance we’ll get at having these questions answered. This was an extremely one sided view of the conflict and you let him freely make controversial claims. For example him saying that all Palestinians want Israel destroyed yet there is only a 3-5% difference between the number of Palestinians that approve of a 2 state solution compared to Israelis. I genuinely believe Netanyahu wants an ethnically cleansed Israel and as much land from Palestine as he can get, we’ve invaded and boycotted other countries for less serious crimes against humanity. How about you ask why Israel deserves this special treatment? You should have asked about the accusation that Israel is perpetuating the conflict in order to justify its ethnic cleansing. You practically invited him on your platform to spread his version of the truth with no pushback or counter arguments. I know you’re capable of doing this because you’ve done so before, I understand you may be partial towards one side but you can’t allow your content to reflect this.

I have a very rudimentary understanding of the issues at large, but one thing that haunts me about his interview is how spectacular Benjamin's English is. He's even got the idioms and phrases and inflection and even sarcasm mastered. One of the best English speaking foreign leaders I've listened to.

I was very impressed by this conversation and Netanyahu's understanding of a huge range of ideas, as well as his insightfulness into each one. Doesn't come across in the way media portrays him.

I love how Lex keeps his mouth shut and let's his guest finish their point, and thereby, make their own bed. These interviews have the atmosphere of Columbo or Poirot interviewing the suspect,where the right questions are asked at the right time to illicit a sense of the real personality hiding behind the mask.

My biggest takeaway is how smart and savvy this guy is. Without any value judgements, this guy is clever and persuasive. It’s no wonder he’s been the leader of such a successful nation for this long.

That lex intro is legendary. Admitting his flaws, in this manner, for someone of his stature, is nothing less than admirable. If he has done one thing to make me like and respect him, it s this.

when people understand that we are all better off as friends than as enemies and there are only at best small gains one can gain through hostile actions but there is no limit to the gains we can achieve through cooperation and friendship, then we can have real peace. and when we have had long lasting and prosperous peace that gives us all greater lives then the challenge for evil forces to bring us back to hostility and war will become insurmountable. through love and friendship we will have peace and prosperity.

It's not just what a person says that you learn from, its what a person Doesn't say that you learn even more from.

It's November 2023, and the whole world has seen him for what he is: A child butchering monster.

He doesn't just answer questions, he turns the question back to Lex and asks him what he thinks. Its a small detail that makes a big difference in conversation.

"An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind". Well! That's where we are heading now.

Some questions for Lex in case you get this opportunity again and decide not to just passively accept everything that a Prime Minister and seasoned politician tells you. 1) Every other modern country declares its borders very explicitly and clearly. Why has Israel still not formally declared its borders and don't you think this would be helpful towards working for solutions for your own people, your allies, and the International community? 2) Do you believe in the Separation of Church and State? What about a Universal Declaration of human rights? Isn't it a good idea that in a diverse population with many religions and ethnicities, that everyone (without exception) gets the exact same legal and political rights? 3) Do you think it's a bad idea, generally speaking, to put religion or ethnicity as of central importance to the foundations of a healthy modern state and economy? Didn't we learn in the last century that Ethnic Nationalism is an unsustainable idea and that Political Nationalism with separation of church and state (secular) and universal equal legal rights is a more sustainable practical approach in a country with a diverse population? 4) I understand that many Israelis are now against the so-called two-state solution. What do you think about a different approach of a 1 state solution - A United Democracy with a separation of church and state, universal equal legal rights for every single citizen, and the right of return for every relative of a Palestinian Arab or Israeli Jew that wants to move to the country and become a contributing citizen? 5) What do you think of the idea that Israel is hurting itself by militarily occupying Palestinian areas like the west bank? Doesn't this give justification and fuel for the fire of terrorism to spread as a 'just resistance'. Wouldn't it be wiser to cut off all contact and put up walls around the formal and undisputed Israeli territory? Wouldn't it be better to not give any excuse for the terrorists to use to rally support around the world?

his smug response to the first question lets you know everything you need to know about the guy

The problem with Netanyahu is that he does not say a single true sentence. And when talking to him you are constantly required to check which world you are in, Netanyahu's world or the real world. It's a scary experience because you're not standing on solid ground. You constantly ask yourself what is true and what is fake in what he says. I started listening to the podcast and immediately saw where Netanyahu was leading and I simply could not continue listening to his half-truths and distorted perception of reality. I am writing this after October 7th and today it is clearer than ever how much all this man wants is to avoid investigation and trial.

this is a testament to how far this show has come! while it may be a divisive episode i hope it opens the doors for talks with all sorts of world leaders in the near future!

I feel like you either don't want to ask more difficult questions since you fear your guests wouldn't want to come again or you are not prepared enough. But this way politicians will always be able to just get a platform to spread their logic/argumentation without getting insights into their thinking. Because those are not the same.

Actually seeing him adds a whole new dimension to his lies.

I request you to have a discussion with some indian politicians and have a talk about indian democracy which most of the indian people want to hear. Due to the lack of communication between the people in power and the citizens, people like you are really required to bridge the gap.
