So you think increasing protectionism and nationalism is the way to go? The reason they ultimately don't want Google and Facebook in China is because the government can't control and censor information. Not to mention the fact that China's industry is built on IP infringement of Western Companies (just look at Xiaomi and Apple). All the Chinese equivalents (Baidu, WeChat, Weibo etc.) are heavily censored. It doesn't take much research to get a bit of balance on the subject.

At least in 'the West' you can think objectively and have access to a lot of information. In China, you have one (pro-Government) narrative, state controlled media and active censorship. It's night and day when it comes to 'freedom'.

Shocking... but I don't think actual slaves would be supporting their oppressors. It shows that the western perspective of the oppressed Chinese population is totally different from the reality; they don't feel oppressed at all. Their lives are getting better and better :)
