I think about this every December without fail. RIP to a legend.

Not many people's passing upsets me. Had the honour of meeting this wise, humble and profound man. This is my fave poem of his. Rest in Power you lovely man.

After I saw him perform this amazing and important poem on the Parkinson TV show (on Christmas Eve), I sent him a fan letter, and was surprised to receive a lovely response, on a postcard, which I've always kept. Bless you, Benj. You will be deeply missed, and your tireless work for justice, both for human beings and for the animal victims of human beings, will be continued. 🦃

I remember being shown this in Year 7. 7 years later I'm vegan. Thanks Benjamin for getting me thinking (even if it did take a while)
