I love how every individual player on the pacers is special according to youtube analysts. "Buddy Hield is the best shooter in the league", "Tyrese is the new point god", "Myles Turner is really one of the best rim protecters and can stretch the floor", "Mathurin is really the ROY and 6th man because x and y". Yet collectively they're ass. If all of that were true they would have 45 wins right now, not 45 losses.
the pacers are one the ten youngest teams in the nba and bottom 6 in actual league experience across the roster. on top of that, Haliburton missed 25 games, Turner missed just shy of 20, and this is Haliburton and Mathurin's first full season on the roster. dont forget the Pacers were also 4 over .500 before Haliburton went down for a large part of the season. I think if all you walk away from this Pacers season with is "they're ass" you really weren't watching what they did/could do.
This team was expected to be one of the worst in the league and yet they were a top 6 seed the 1st half of the year until there best player went down with injury
really good stuff J-Rod; I think Benn is going to score 20ppg either this year or next, and his 3pt % will improve by at least 2 points. he's being slept on, when something like 15 rookies in the last 10 years have matched his ppg average.
Loving the videos, looking forward for more! Would be cool to see a video about Jalen Williams, definitely one of the most interesting rookies this year imo. Keep it up bro!
Great break down and great content. Can you please do one on Jonathan Kuminga going in to this new season and what you think can factor in to his break out season?
