This is my favorite of her covers. I would not have guessed when I clicked the video that this would be a song for her voice but it turned out to be phenomenal! I like when her voice gets that raspy, rock sound. I keep replaying this one.
To this day this is still a classic. The studio version is so much better than the performance. I used to listen to this on the bus every morning in 9th grade lol. So many memories with this song.
@@martinalbeattie1383 Wish I heard in 2020 but I live in California so it's still not over for us. Also, I grew up listening to this song and I can admit that even though I sang loudly each and every time I heard on a bar jukebox back in the day. I WAS SINGING IT WRONG. 57 yrs old and I now know I had more then 4 words wrong. Lol I know now though. One of my all time favorite songs.
Wow. Been loving this girl since I saw her on Idol two years ago when I was sixteen. I fell in love with her and I'm still crazy about her voice. Damn, girl ♥
Although I've always respected Elton greatly, I never liked this particular song until I heard this cover. It sounds better to my ear. I don't care about any arbitrary rules people make up about covers vs. original songs. lol
Just because Elton John's the original of the song doesn't mean he is the only to sing the song. Other can sing the song without having to pay royalties.
It's just amazing that the song is so simple and repetitive but she's able to play her voice that it creates maaaany emotions. It's a really wonderful cover version ❤ been loving it since seeing it live on tv on her american idol performance
i just like this cover more than the original. I heard the original long before Haley and could see why people liked... but Haley version just put it more on the radar
Riyaan Abrahams What? This song was a smashing hit before Haley ruined it. It was in the top charts along with most of the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album. I’ve never even heard of this crap until it came up with Elton’s. So, no, it did not put it on the radar, nor did it improve it. Listen to Adam Lambert’s Ring of Fire, that’s how a cover should be done.
I think this may be the best singing ever! I can't stop listening to it! I'm trying to get this song down, but I will never sound half as good as Haley.
