Legends for sure. And sheer and utter genius songwriting talent creates timeless classics... The simple answer is that good music will ALWAYS stand the test of time... And ABBA were - and still are - simply THE BEST..!!!❤🎤🎷🎸🎺🎻🎹
That will be so nice.....and apire on a stage as Abatars, if not abble as allive members. Allso...to take few minutes of all show...with few words if they can. We should have gentlle expectatione from ABBA.....they are far from youth/ fisicly/........life🙂🍀🖖
AND.....2 albums by Gemini (Karin and Anders Glenmark ) ... "Gemini "in 1985 and "Geminism " in 1987 and a 1993 album by Josefin Nilsson..called " Shapes "... You will get a lovely surprise. They're out there in youtube world and other places. Just look.❤
I think that the ladies dont want to be in the public eye anymore. The one that like that the most is Björn. Benny a little . The ladies just want to live their lives out of the spotlight.
OK then, let's talk music: If music is built in 3rds, it requires two octaves to complete seven pitches (notes). Every other white key is a 3rd apart. Starting with an "F" pitch (note) in the "C" key, step up every other white key for seven pitches, as follows: F-A-C-E-G-B-D (1-3-5-7-9-11-13). These seven pitches make-up an "FM13+11" chord. This chord is made-up of "three triads." The three triads (chords) are: "F-A-C" + "C-E-G" + "G-B-D" = F-A-C-E-G-B-D. These triads are in harmony with each other: F-A-C is a "harmonic 5th" away from a C-E-G. The same is true of an "F" pitch and a "C" pitch. Triads are in "harmony" with each other: An "F-A-C" is a 3rd away from a "A-C-E." or, an "F triad" is a "harmonic third" away from a "Amin." triad. Working an "F triaf" with an "Amin triad" is working a "FM7" chord.
A special new song written for the anniversary would be wonderful and added to a special deluxe version of the Voyage album to be released as anniversary album … please!
Simple solution to not appearing but still celebrating. Why don't the 4 of you record a new version of Waterloo and film the recording to be shown at Eurovision??? How can i contact Benny and Bjorn to suggest this?
Listening to Benny saying no right off the bat makes me uneasy. The interviewer wasn't asking them to perform...Why saying no so quick to the possibility of the 4 of them just showing together on stage. Arghh.. so frustrating.
...yes i thought exactly the same about Björn's health...he's always been on the light side, but here he is way too thin, rubbing his hands together and seems restless... probably age related i know, but from being an ABBA fan since 1974 you do worry about them...we want them around forEEVVERR! 💖
Thank you Benny for your comments. Australia only has 25 million, and it may not be sustainable, financially, having to build a stadium. I went to London last year and saw Voyage twice. I was front and centre of stage. It was brilliant. I am returning to London in September to see 4 more shows. I will travel from Australia to London annually. The price of airfares are worth it. ABBA is the best band ever. I love you with all my heart. I waved to you at the Melbourne Town Hall and at the bowl in 1977. You have brought so much happiness to my life and to millions. You are simply the best. Sending all my love to the four of you from Melbourne XXXX
Australia ( where I am from ) really were the ones that found ABBA initially...........Benny, I think the 4 of you should just make an appearance in the Eurovision, especially that is going to be in Sweden....It is just too easy to say NO to everything now that you have fame and fortune. Think of the people that gave you that !!!
As much as we want ABBA to appear at Eurovision next year not only has Benny said no. Their manager Gorel has also said no to them being there next year. Something is going on though. There are no bookings for April 6th 2024 for Voyage. This date is also the 25th anniversary of Mamma Mia The Musical.
I was lucky to experience ABBA during the 70's, as a child. Their music has been the soundtrack of my life. For me "The Visitors" is a masterpiece and their peak musically. "Voyage" was a bonus surprise with a few really good songs and I'm happy we got it. But I don't expect anymore music from ABBA, and I certainly don't think it's a good idea to appear during Eurovision just because it's 50 years since Waterloo. . . I'm from Sweden and Eurovision is not something I associate with ABBA. It might sound presumptuous but they are above that nowadays in my opinion. I agree with Benny that Australia deserves their attention in some shape or form.
I understand Benny reluntance about Eurovision. I saw an interview with both Benny & Bjorn a few years ago and they said Eurovision is not what it was, its actually crap. I'd love if ABBA would make an album of all the songs they have shelved/didn't like at the time, and make it into a mash up.
I'm so excited to be seeing the show tonight for its 1st year anniversary. Saw it on opening night last May. Can't believe it was a year ago. Excellent, Jaw-dropping, amazing show. Abba are the gift that keeps on giving. Long may it continue ❤
I was very moved by Benny stating he'd like to see 'Voyage' come here to Australia. ABBA were huge in Australia thanks to Ian (Molly) Meldrum and ABC's Countdown, however only a modified version of Voyage could work here due to our lower population and the economics of it. Thankyou for the interview.
...Björn SO wants to be there next year, Benny said no so many times before then ta daa, we have not 1 new song but an ALBUM. He likes the surprise element, so i say something is up his sleeve!...btw i also remember when Björn said that if 1 says no,the other 3 say yes, then the yes's win..🤞💞
The last great Wish is an EP of JUST LIKE THAT in best sound and all recorded versions in full length but unfortunately that will NEVER see the light of day 😔
I think everyone WANTS them to reunite and tour and all of that. But to be honest, they never where about the touring. They were always about the exploration of music. They clearly showed with Voyage that they still have it as a group. The Ladies still has their voices, and then some. I wold love them to write one more album, in whatever style they wish. Make a documentary of recording it and then, maybe just do a televised show playing it. They don't even have to have an audience. Them, their music, their band. An hour show, send throughout the world. A lasting memory and a final thank you.
If you watch the ABBA in concert from 1979. Bjorn says, if one says one and three say three, then it's three. That's the Swedish way. Benny is slightly contradicting that statement. Bjorn clearly with all his hair implants and surgery is dying to be there...he hides it very badly. Bjorn again (he's everywhere)
The Eurovision question coming from a huge fan, me. Why say no. Is it because you are doing something back to the world, to the fans, without making tons of money??????
