I have an Arabian that is very intelligent and kind but am wondering if you could clarify something for me. The Arabian "drops" to the hocks and thrusts forward, the hocks don't thrust the momentum upward as do other breeds, thus wasting energy in the upward motion. This makes the Arabian energy-conservative. He moves more "forward" rather than upward, in comparison to other breeds.Does that make him less ideal for academic work?
That's why I breed Barb horses, never seen such intelligent horse. And for shure it is not his only quality..... Once you worked with a Barb, you cannot go back to other breed....
