Thank you for a most informative video contribution. You saved me a lot of money- i was going to buy this model. I love Minichamps' Bentleys and own quite a lot of them. I think I'll shop around for some older models on Ebay. I have a lovely silver model, which minichamps unfortunately no longer makes.
Well I got the year of that red one...and I'm gonna buy it, cause it's clearly the best one here. It goes to show that when companies make some money they tend to cut cost and try keeping even more money for themselves. The quality goes down and we as consumers suffer with the crappy workmanship they put into the "future models" but forgetting what got them here in the first place....so sad....Thx for this review it was well needed and very well done.
Hello red one is 2008 as you already know but there are also 2002 versions (silver, black and probably green but I'm not sure) which are essentially the same only few very small differences. And they are also worth buying if there is a chance. Minichamps lately released 2008 version in white which I think is very nice too so before you decide to buy red one take a look at white one (at minichamps.de) maybe you change your mind :)
IVIarDot Snakey you wrote companies tend to cut costs, well yes but it still does not explain to me why they did 2011 version like this. I think/hope this was kind of mistake which will not be repeated.
Yea it's crazzi and very dumb. It was a move they probaly thought was good but it actually backfired on them. When I saw underneath of the red car that's what sold me..I ordered the same year just in white..Who knows why they did it but the fact they did it really is mind boggling to us as buyers of these cars...I guess this makes us appreciate Autoart that much more.
Thanks for the great review. I was thinking about buying this model. After seeing your review, I'm not going to buy it. I didn't think Minichamps would take so much shortcuts in their newer releases.
i agree, bought the new GT model like yours but found the wheels wobbled, and the detail was not good. I had to sell it on. Mulsanne also represented a step down from the previous models I thought, if not as great.
i was wondering if you have seen the supersport version that welly has introduced recently... i would be interested to hear your opinion in it`s value and quality in comparison to minichamps.
Hello it's good to hear that I saved you some money. In my video I decided to use red Continental but I have sliver one too and that model is favourite.
Hello, yes I've got Supersports by Welly (white one). I have to say it offers suprisingly good quality compared to price but compared to older Minichamps models, well they are simply better ;)
