Completely agree, you definitely need to be familiar and confident with the clear you are spraying…when using the same clears over and over again you learn how much you can push it before going over the edge 😂👍🏻😄

Its made for all surfaces, bare metal and aluminum need etch primer, if the burn throughs are very minor I just go straight sealer and never had any issues arise. If i had larger bare aluminum showing i would etch prime or use epoxy sealer. Luckily this color was a dead on match, the ppg camera helped and the color ended up being an old vw color formula. Typically if i panel paint black colors I do have to tint them a bit because like you said the blacks are slightly bluer or lighter or yellower and they really show in direct sunshine if the black is a shade off.
