There was a signal box as you came off the Down Main called Benton Quarry in the early 60s, I remember 4 tracks from Earsdon to Seghill, looks alot different now, thanks for the cab ride......

I was on railtour in 2014 where the train went all the way into the port of Blyth.

Why is it called 'Battleship Wharf'? And where does the line go if you go straight ahead instead of veering right over the road at then end of the trip?
