The soloists are out of question - highest class! But what I especially enjoy is the accompanist! Macdara Ó Faoláin - extremely well done! Adds so much!

How great those two players of music are. But the backing instrument is louder than the melody being made here. There isn’t simply any excuse for having a bad sound guy in the studio! Our native music or any good source of music is melody driven. Backing instruments should be gagged and muted. There are two great musicians at work here. They should be properly heard without any interference!
Hi Timothy, thanks for the compliment about our music. We are very happy with this sound mix, and as a masterful musician, the bouzouki player's stunning accompaniment only adds to and enhances our music we feel - that is the way that we like to present our music so sorry that you don't agree with that. Macdara's exceptional playing certainly should not be 'gagged and muted'.
12:58 Hi Timothy, as an accompanist myself I’m listening to Macdara O Faolain very carefully. I get the impression you like hearing your accompanists a little back in the mix, and that’s a valid point. When someone accompanies as well as Macdara though I want to hear it. To my old ears he’s placed equally in the mix, if I want to listen to the melody I can, it’s crisp and clear but I can also shift to Macdara effortlessly. In other-words I rather like his placement in the mix but understand how it could distract you.
