BEOPlay HX Compared To Sony 1000XM4 & Bose NC 700 

How loud are the B&O? I have sony 1000XM4 for comparison.

@@hdturbogixxer Unfortunately it is not loud enough compared to two others. Bose is the loudest.

@@hdturbogixxer Sony is the louder. Beautiful sound from the B&O, great clarity but the Sony seem to have more depth, a fuller, deeper sound. You wouldn't be disappointed with either though on their own.

Sorry but I have to laugh. You say "after years of using the XM3's", but they were only introduced 4 years ago. That's the problem, they're not built to really last and it's a great indication of what a throwaway society we live in, but we really do need to start moving back towards not replacing things for the latest model every year.

Yeah, I have (had) a pair of AKG N60nc Wireless on-ear (with 3.5mm cable). I Love(ed) them for about 8 years...until one day I went in to the office, took them off and a co-worker pointed out that I had some black flaky stuff on my ears. That fake leather-look spray-on vinyl crap covering the ear pads was literally disintegrating. And the top cushion was as well. It became oily and sticky and really unwearable. The phones themselves still work fine, but it just goes to show you the difference in cost vs quality. Those AKG phones were awesome, Bluetooth & wired, compact, great ANC, SUPERB freq. range, great sounding and comfortable. All ruined by cheaping out on the 'fit and finish'. THIS is why I'm willing to pay more for true quality materials used by brands such as B&O (real leather, lambskin, quality metals, etc.) Longevity of products is important to me. Some people would say "well...8 years is about what you'd expect, what's the big deal?" "Just get some new ones..." The point is, that a well & properly made pair of 'phones should last decades if properly taken care of. This applies to many other things as well (shoes!)...too many things go to the landfill far too soon.

Fyi, I have the HP Spectre and I also have a slight delay with my Bose QC35's.

Had the same issue with the Bower and Wilkins PX a few years ago. Audio quality without ANC was great but took a soul crushing hit once enabled. Made the Sony XM3 at the time a better buy all round though a big step down in both quality and materials. Super disappointing as I just couldn’t enjoy them because of it. I’ve recently owned and subsequently sold the Sony XM3 and Sennheiser Momentum 3. I currently own the Bose 700 as I work from home and take a lot of calls. The mics on all these others are average at best.

I am more concerned with long-term wear and tear. I have had both Sony and Bose for years. I started with Bose and the leatherette broke down and I had to replace them. I went to Sony and now they are broken down. This is why I am watching reviews to see if anyone comments on the wear and tear of the lambskin.

Better wait for next XB model headphones. They probably reveal them in this summer. Sorry if I wrote something wrong, I'm still learning English

Go for the XB900N, or wait for the next model. Either one is good enough for you. Edit: You can also go for the Skullcandy crusher anc or crusher 360. Those have head-rattling bass!

I own both the xb900n and Xm4. Apparently they look quite similar to each other, however the Xm4s are far more comfortable than the 900n. The headband of xb900n puts a lot of pressure at the top of my head which makes me quite uncomfortable.

XB900Ns have a heck ton of bass; way more so than the XM3s and XM4s. And I do feel the bass on the 900Ns drown out some mids and highs. 900Ns really depend on what music you listen to for them to shine.

XM4s do sound amazing when paired with an LDAC device (like Walkman or Xperia smartphone) with DSEE Extreme turned on. They sound clear and decently open (which surprised me when I tried them out), and I personally am fine with how the stock EQ sounds. But when paired with an iPhone (AAC) for example, nah the XM4s sound average, not much a step forward from the XM3s

I definitely agree. OudioOne headphones sound really good, and there less then $100

So basically you‘re trying to tell to buy plastic because you’re too lazy to care for your headphones? It‘s ok, cause you’re not the target group in the first place.

I have been using b&o h4 for 4 years a, it as become dark still intact as compared to bose whose ear-cup is torn away

@@MrAbhishekbharti Yes, bad quality fake leather, like the one from Bose, is terrible in terms of longevity; Bose apparently thinks earning extra money from replacement ear pads is better than earning trust from consumers.
