Ramsau - Eingeschossener Steig (1140 m) - Neue Traunsteiner Hütte (1560 m).
A walk that starts close to the alpine village of Ramsau bei Berchtesgaden. The end of the walk is at the Neue Traunsteiner Hütte. This walk takes the difficult way up; via the Eingeschossener Steig.
The walk is not signposted and probably for a very good reason. This high alpine walk is only suited for the most adventurous hikers that can handle heights.
After the Eisbergalm there is a difficult path to the Edelweißlahnerkopf (1953 m). To get there you have to do a lot of scrambling and is extremely hard and demands excellent physical condition. I did not have time to film this part of the walk, so I will have to go back some day to do it all again to show you the images. It is highly recommended for the toughest of hikers among you.
The walk shown in this video excludes the Edelweißlahnerkopf, and so does the gps-route that is downloadable below.
I hope you enjoy watching this video.
Greetings, Maurits.
