@@theoneandonly8403 At the end of Deltarune chap 1, Toriel confirms that Asriel is a Yoshi main, so that's the only reason I can say that with any amount of certainty. Susie feels like a Ganondorf(who's actually pretty decent in Melee) player, while Kris prolly plays Mario because Mario is friends with Yoshi. None of those are confirmed though.

Actually, wavedashing is just an exploit, not a cheat, and is 100% intentional. We know this because Sakurai actually made some internet post a _long_ time ago actually describing how to do it, and one of the developers already confirmed that the team always knew it was possible. Now, whether they anticipated it being used so heavily is another matter entirely.

There’s an actual game in the lore that Kris & Asriel used to play according to some of toriel’s dialogue in chapter 1 that’s referencing smash bros so it makes it better this could’ve been canon

I like how he uses shine to Bair like they were already at death percent (well, they are on the side of the screen, so...). Could've shine-shine Up air too when I think about it. Wonder if Kris could've DI'd it if they were given control instead of the player.
