Funny, my kids does this with Science and History! Meaning, I have variety on the bookshelf for them to just grab and read, instead of us using as an official curriculum. We started out with Rod & Staff which is informative but bit dry. This year we’re doing Chemistry for the Grammar Stage from Elemental Science. My plan is to do Berean Builders 5th-8th and transition to Novare Science for High School.

Natures Workshop boxes are great! I just love that everything is all in the one box, you know what I mean.

Have you used apologia to compare what you liked and didn't? I have a prek, 2nd grader and 4th grader I know he worked with them for awhile but has since split.

I think the Berean Builders is going more through a history of science. It is a lot of reading. It would probably be a lot for the younger but ok for 4th- more for 4/5th- 8th in my opinion 😉 My son did the animal apologia and just read through it last year in 5th and enjoyed. I have a friend who has done the animal ones with her younger kids. For me I really enjoyed Considering Gods Creation for the younger ones. It is not part of either 😉I hope this was helpful!!!

Does the curriculum have Bible scripture in throughout the lesson or does it just mention God?

Wow such a good question!! I actually sold this curriculum🤔 you can look at samples of the pages on Christian Book Distributors , but didn’t see anything. I know that book was a lot about scientist and discoveries and would mention if they where a Christian. He did it 2 years ago😉
