A friend recently picked up one of these Bobcats, and it looked too fun to pass up so we borrowed it for a couple days and did a bit of science...unfortunately the mics (as usual with suppressors) could not really translate the minute differences as each successive segment was added to the can. The ear could hear a difference though, and once the 3 segments were added, I would have definitely considered it ear-safe, and with all of them it was hilariously quiet...so we had to shoot a bit more once the science was complete.

@@BulletLab Don't feel it's just you. For some reason most people do it. Over half the videos with suppressors are people shooting metal. In person in 3D you can probably get an idea of difference. All that collapses on video (even with surround on).

I just got one of these Bobcat Coverts as well. Great silencer host. I think the slide being stiff is what makes these quieter than other guns - forces the blast out the end of the barrel instead of out the breach. Running a Bowers Bitty on mine. Works amazingly well for the size of the can - like a firm, average hand clap. Now I want to try a bigger can to see how quiet it can get.

How do you find the accuracy to be on yours? I have an original Inox model that is not threaded. I've tried Winchester Super X, which is all over the place and also CCI Mini Mags, which did tighten up a bit, but even on a 6x8 inch cardboard box, it still spread. Just curious as to what others' experiences have been. Such a fun little gun and maybe I am expecting too much from the 2 inch barrel, but I'd like to practice at getting better with it. Would love to hear your thoughts!
@mattelgin213
@mattelgin213 3 года назад
@@VRGalaxy_762 The accuracy doesn’t seem too good to me - or too bad, considering what it is. All but one or two shots through mine have been with a silencer blocking the sights. So, this obviously affects my ability to aim. I haven’t sandbagged it to see group size. Fun little popper is all I see it as - and being able to pop somebody in the back of the head in a restaurant if you ever want. My is a lot of fun to shoot, and reasonably accurate using the point-and-shoot method. I have a Ruger MKIII integrally suppressed Gemtech that can hit insects at 15 feet away. I’ll use this for accuracy; Beretta for minimum size.

How do you find the accuracy on yours? Have you recorded accuracy on paper targets with different ammo? I'd be interested in seeing a video like that. I have the original Inox, which isn't threaded and even between 10-13 yards on a carboard box that was 6x8 inches, the shots were wildly all over the place. They definitely pulled to the left, even when I was concentrating. The ammo I used was Winchester Super X 40 grain, "small game, target, plinking". I then switched to CCI Mini Mags, which did tighten up the group a little, but it was still all over the place. I know that I'm a good shot, so I'm not sure what's up. I could be pulling the some of the shots, but who knows. I want to get a threaded one, but I wish the gun was more accurate. Maybe my expectations are too much from a 2-inch barrel, but I really do think the gun (and me) can do a lot better. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts. Great video and have a nice day!
