Bergamo is known for its old town, which has been around for over 2000 years. It was first mentioned by the Romans, who ruled from a rock plateau. This is old Bergamo and the walk takes you across the old town.
We start with a view to the santa grata church and walk up through the narrow lanes into the heart of the city. Cobbled roads and roman catholic architectural master works can be seen here, as well as small unique boutiques selling local fair.
