Good stuff there Darron! Some day I'll get my B14r into a chassis as well but for now am stuck in the stock it came with. Wishing I would have gotten the steel barrel over the CF one for weight purposes though. That CF is dang light! Thanks for doing the video's and giving some insight into the .22 PRS/NRL world of shooting!

The CF is pretty light! But if you do drop it in a chassis you can balance it out with weight kits. Or even better, keep it AND buy a steel one 😁

@@darrondb I threw it into a MDT chassis with full weights kit that my buddy had and it did balance it almost perfectly. Still was a little butt heavy due to the position of the scope and all and the barrel wasn't long enough as the chassis stuck out further than the barrel. It looked really funny that way and I didn't like that. But I really want to get the steel LH model now as I shoot the proper way, left handed LOL! Of course they announced and put the LH model out after I bought the CF version, which was a bummer big time.

Really appreciate the Q&A - a few questions I had have already been answered in this one. What sort of group sizes, at 100 yards ,do you get in practice with the comp gun using SK Match?

@@darrondb Thanks, I havent been in the NRL22 game for long and had no bench mark. I'm getting very similar groups at just under 1" if I'm on my game.

What size is the coil spring pin that hold the bolt/striker?

Hello, I'm just getting into the 22 world of shooting. I started with the BMR, but now I've ordered a b14r. Other than optics, what would you do first. Machine action, swap barrel ( both at once likely) . Chassis swap. I'm simply just looking for advice. Thanks Jeremy

But the best optic you possibly can. Find a good lot of ammo and shoot 5k rounds through it. By that time you will know what (if anything) you might want to change up. If you can't wait that long, then my suggestion would be an different trigger. Enjoy the rifle and thanks for watching!

How often do you clean your barrel? Thanks for all the great info 👍

I try to clean the chamber to prevent a carbon ring every 1000 rounds or so. The rest of the barrel just gets a dry bore snake.

Hi D sorry to bother you again but quick question. So if you recall I have a Ruger Precision Rimfire with vortex Venom on it. Not impressed got b14r and loving it. I just purchased a Athlon Argos btr gen 2 FFP 8 to 24 to put in Ruger just to have something on it. I purchased it from Amazon and got it yesterday. Upon opening it and looking at it the windage and elevation are set to zero but on the third line mark and the elevation adjustment will not go down like it’s zero locked there, only up. Since your a Athlon guy is this how they ship their scopes. Should I loosen grub screws on zero lock and turn it all the way down before I sight it in. Thxs so much Sean

Yes, I would loosen up the zero stop until you have it sighted in. Then you can reset it. Hope you enjoy your new rig!!

Does the barreled action come with the bottom metal?

No, barreled action does not come with the bottom metal as that would be specific to whatever chassis or stock you would choose

That mag block he has there is from L3i. They make good stuff (and is making a new mag for the B14r too so watch for it) and so does the guy from YowTech (which is where I got mine from.

@@chadpatten627 definitely watch A&J Sporting's page for gear. Aaron (the owner) shoots Bergara's as well and only stocks quality gear. He's another person that is a wealth of knowledge about those rifles if you are needing any questions answered.
