This is one of the best than now videos I have ever seen. The person who put this together I don’t know how he got his photographs in the videos, but this is a masterpiece.
Cleverly done and good choice of background sound instead of the usual upbeat over the top nonsense that you always have to mute. I always remember as a kid my dad had the Winston G Ramsey Then & Now books which I used to spend hours looking at.
Alle reden von "nicht vergessen dürfen und Warnung für die Zukunft. Das Haus hätte als Zeitgeschichtliches Dokument und Mahnmal erhalten werden müssen.
…Problem is…the SS burnt it after the Brits bombed it…then the Yanks instructed the Bavarians to detonate it in 1952 much like what happened to the Berliner Schloss in 1950 to rid that part of Germany of its imperial royal past. The Stadtschloss (of sorts)is back but I doubt the Berghof will be….unless the Germans get brave and embrace their past warts and all. Shame really, but at least the Kehlsteinhaus remains perched as it is with a Birds Eye view of everything. Would have been a fascinating place to visit as an existing restored dwelling to ponder the man and what drove him and why….yeah, the Shoah part is pretty icky, and I’ll never understand that. The country (and the world) certainly paid a heavy price for the machinations of this man.
After watching countless videos on this topic, and really not being able to grasp the layout of this property I must say this did it for me. awesome job!
@@rebadaddy sadly, generally or to me at least the future is unknown. I would be very surprised if it would close permanently or get demolished. It got purchased by an unnamed local entrpreneural family. All power lies in their hands. Although im not sure, it has to be under "Denkmalschutz", which means "Monument/ memorial protection", which would make demolishing it illegal.
Incredibly well done with such carefully placed line ups with the mountains, it's the best I've seen of these type of "before and now" videos, I turely enjoyed watching it, outstanding job to all involved. 👍
Beautiful job, Lorenzo ....just visited the Berghof and Mooslahnerkopf hill teehaus a few days back.Fantastic feeling to be on location of such significance.
A lot of work has gone in to this well done great job Lorenzo. We visited in October 2018 a stunning area of natural beauty with an unfortunate dark history.
Very good linking of images, very fluid, the best I have seen on the subject. For years I have watched videos on this topic, but now I have had a more real and exhaustive vision of what the Berghof was like and where it was in the current area.
I have just returned from Berghof ruins two days ago. NOW i understand the layout and architecture of this place. It is exactly what i was looking for! Five stars and many thanks!!! Best job, i have ever sehen 👍👍👍
Extremely highly well done. Amazing blend of original archival material overlaid on the modem view. As others have said it is the best I've seen yet. The best part and what boggles my mind is how you so perfectly overlaid the modern view on top of the original when the original was taken so many feet higher than the current elevation. Did you use a drone to get the elevation shots? Simply brilliant. Thanks for putting this together.
Excellent video. Brings history alive, and brings a new perspective Visited there four years ago. Also walked to the tee haus. Experiencing history adds greatly to reading about it.

@@brunoheggli2888 Thankyou, I had a heart ❤️ attack two years ago, so I cashed out a pension scheme, & bought the Alfa. Have never owned a Red car before, let alone a Convertible, who knows how long we have? ⏱️🤔
Lorenzo, This is absolutely the best before and after I've seen of the Berghoff. I've seen most all of them but I haven't visited the site yet but plan to soon. I heard that someone has bought the Zum Turken motel next door and closed it down, hope that isn't true because I planned to visit or stay there too. Thanks for this great video!
Thank you for your words. The last time I visited the place was in 2018 and the hotel was working. the experience in the place is wonderful, whether you like the history of the place or mountain tourism. It is a paradisiacal place
Brilliant video apart from one inaccuracy. At 19:46 it’s suggested that is the windows in the garage. That would be impossible as they are too far back and is simply part of the retaining wall behind the staff quarters of the Berghof!!
5.11 site is NOT drone footage from the berghof side. It looks like the theater halle, but it's definitely not the berghof, not enough trees, no road nearby, and those square concrete markers look like the foundation of the theater halle.
05:00 This is the former *Theaterhalle* area, which lies to the southwest of the Hitler, Goring, and Bormann house sites. Check out *ThiurdReichInRuins* for a map of the area as it was; this view (at precisely 05:01) looks northeast toward the Kempinski Hotel, with construction visible in the middle distance at the Dokumentation Obersalzberg area. Thanks for this detailed presentation of an overlooked point of interest . . . Regards, Kev
Adolf called the British "Little Worms" at The Munich Conference in 1938... The "Little Worms", (The RAF) done rather well in their Little Lancaster bombers. Came over and bombed Adolfs "Little Berghoff"..
