Great work! This song fits the images perfectly! Persona is a wonderful,breath-taking masterpiece! And liv Ulmann...My God,what an actress!!! (and Bibi as well!)
Quite frankly I'm surprised that The Criterion Collection hasn't included/attained that following films: Federico Fellini's "La Dolce Vita", Ingmar Bergman's "Persona", Michelangelo Antonioni's "La Notte" and Francis Ford Coppola's "Youth Without Youth" and lastly Vittoro de Sica's "The Bicycle Thief" (among numerous others).
who are you guys? and where are you? you just uploaded this single piece with persona and that just got stayed into my heart. i often sing it. today i found this video back after two years. means two years ago first time i watched this beautiful trailer with your pretty melody. I really wanna hear more from you guys.... do you have soundcloud or any page where you share your cute melodies??? please share your music with us with the world
"The Bicycle Thief" (or "Bicycle Thieves") is truly a masterpiece - a great film of the Italian Neo-Realist era. They still need this, "Fellini's "La Dolce Vita" and Antonioni's "La Notte". One film I would love to see on the Collection is Nicolas Winding Refn's "Drive" - I thought it was the second best film of 2011!
It's original music we did for this clip. Thanks for pointing it out, i did'nt explain very clearly. if you like the music download you can download it an others at the myspace link that i've now put in. All our other videos are on the walkerandwilliam user.
Brilliant trailer. I've never seen a Bergman film I haven't liked, still got Wild Strawberries, Hour of the Wolf and The Silence waiting to watch too. My favourite is Through a Glass Darkly.
"Persona" is the last great movie I saw. I tried to watch this with my Mom (when I visited her in Phoenix, AZ in November 2009) but she freaked out when she saw the prologue and told me to turn it off. I was embarrassed, but it was a reminder of why I think Ingmar Bergman is one of the three greatest directors in the history of movies (Alfred Hitchcock and Howard Hawks are the other two).
Yasarken olmuyormuyuz zaten...
@brushstrokesrock One of the ways of saying "nurse" in Swedish is "sjuksyster," a compound meaning "sister of the sick." Abbreviated this turns into "syster," meaning "sister." So Bibi is really addressed as "nurse Alma" when they call her "sister Alma."
Great work guys..... The music is pretty unlike the soundtrack of the film... yet it sounds so lovely, giving it a new emotional dimension...... Will contact you for music for my next film, maybe, but I am an independent film-maker with not much money :O hahaha...
@@ianbeach23 If you ask someone in their 20s now who considers themselves a filmy non of them are going to mention Bergman, people actually need to watch the film's and he barely ever gets a mention
Lucky for you (I know it's a year ago), Criterion has a very good edition for "The Bicycle Thief" (I got it, so I should know haha). True, they have produced a lot of Bergman's film, but not "Persona"...
@JesusCristo2002 Criterion has The Bicycle Thief, I own the Criterion version (it's called by the more accurate British Title "Bicycle Thieves") but yeah, they don't own the rights to the other three (I haven't seen La Notte, but I've seen L'Avventura, and Criterion has L'eclisse as well). La Dolce Vita and Persona are landmark films by Criterion favorite directors. But I think Criterion is acquiring some of the MGM catalog, so maybe we'll see a Criterion Persona (blu-ray?) in the new future.

Your music, while amazing, I don't think really strikes the correct chord with this film. Novel though it is, and somber in its execution, it doesn't seem to match anything to do with film. I hope you take this as a constructive crit and not anything spiteful. Regards
