I'm pretty sure every rig here was running a Lipo, they are the way to go. But other then that get the biggest mAh (milliampere hour) battery you can fit.

Every event has different specs but guys run all kinds of rigs, so as long as its to spec you should be good. I don't know to much about the WPL trucks. Thanks for watching

@@CWR2011RC wpl makes 18th scale little beasts that are either 4x4 or 6x6. They are super affordable. With less than $200 you can upgrade everything to all metal and that includes the price of the truck. I love the fact that they are so cheap because now people that can not afford rc4wd or axials or other tenth scale rigs can get into the hobby and enjoy it the same way. You should pick one up yourself and see what it's all about. You will be hooked . The little 130 size motor that came with my rtr b24 model burned out and I bought the 180 size upgrade motor for literally $3.00 and man what a world of difference it made . Now it makes so much torque that it stripped the splines on the rear drive shaft so I had to glue it onto the shaft for the pinion ,problem solved now it can climb anything I throw at it. I think that since you have the rc4wd Toyota you should buy the wpl version, I believe it's the c chassis and build it up with metal parts and make a wpl vs Rc4wd video. Id love to see that. I predict that both trucks will be of equal performance if you build each one a track for it's own scale. In fact I predict that the wpl would do surprisingly well on the tenth scale track as well .
