I liked watching you patiently playing these fish. Not only do you exercise good technique and presentation, you are very soft with the fish once hooked - and netted each with
I may have to try these. Friend of mine has invited me to his honey hole. He said, Huge brown trout! Thanks for the video Brother. Hope y'all are doing well during all this mess. Stay Safe and GOD Bless!🙏🕊🐟🦃🦌🇺🇸
thats the first i ever seen that small of a Chatterbait LOL ... But i kinda still like my small Panther Martin's or even Meps tho. But really interesting seeing the small minnows
That last technique is amazing! I have never seen anybody do that before! I definitely had to subscribe to your channel I really enjoy your content and look forward to seeing alot more
Love the gulp minnows and powerbait minnows. I catch everything from Rainbows and brooks to smallmouth with them. I’m in the Roanoke Co area. Might have to link up sometime. Awesome video man.
I will be trying these. I have been trying new baits/lures. My wife will surprise me with new lures and bates on occasion and I go out thinking "that will never work" then boom I catch one. So she kind of got me into getting away from my go to bates and lures.
New subscriber! Thanks for the info! I’m learning how to fish on my own. My family doesn’t like to fish so I had no one to teach me Growing up. Ima try this technique!
Just learned 2 more ways to use the little gulp minnows, thanks for the videos and the technics! Keep them coming! Also just got some mice tails, I think you made a video on those too, I have to go back and check.
I flipped my laptop over to read your tattoo. Big fan of trout fishing! Like you vids. I actually learnt a lot from your vids about how to use the trout magnet. I like your tech using the float because I often got stuck by drift fishing. I definitely will buy and try what you show here.
Try also the glup worms, pumpkin seed color. But only use the tail, cut about an inch off and use a sinker and hook set like you did on that last fish. Love gulp baits.
I also like using gulp minnows but often have trouble hooking up due to short strikes and where the hook is positioned near the front. I have tried several longer shafted hooks but nothing I've tried looks or swims realistic. Have you had any success with a longer 4x hook or using a trailer? Thanks in advance.
Had that same rod until...someone I won't mention, dropped it in the lake. Goes to show how long I've been outta the trout scene. I use those same baits for largemouth bass and thought thats what they're for. Who cares right! If the trout are crushin it, doesn't matter what it is, use it. Nice fish man!
Great video. I’ve always saltwater fished and making my way into fresh, especially trout and salmon. What size hook is recommended? The rest of the rig is easy enough to set up.
Would love to be able to find a fishing spot like that. I live in Indiana up around Fort Wayne and we don't have trout around here. I go to the smokey mountains in Tennessee and fish down there
I've found that casting across and slightly down stream while jigging just enough to keep the minnow close to the bottom has worked the best for me. Just caught 15 in three hours today using that technique. Have to hold the rod tip high so you can lower it to give some slack once they take the minnow.
sorry to be so off topic but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot the login password. I love any help you can offer me
@Alden Zachariah thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Have you tried the nymphs? Berkley power bait nymphs ( pearl olive and pink )... rig them on 1 or 2 grams jig head I promise you, you will court more fish then usual ;)
Man brother them are some nice size trout in that very wide river. They are that strong cause of that strong current they fight. What river is that brother ?
Great videos. Have you ever considered moving your reel handle to the other side? That way you won’t have to keep switching the rod from one hand to the other between casting and reeling. Just asking.
Mr. C I run bait casters and spinning reals on the left side and I’m right handed. I’m not sure why right handed people real with the right hand, seems like all the power and control should be with your primary hand.
Okuma SST Trout rod with Diawa 1.000 size reel. Rod coat about $30. Reel can cost any ever from $30 to $100. Get the most expensive real you can afford. Look for sale at Fish USA.
I used them in various sizes and colors and only caught junk fish not a single trout took mine unfortunately but when I throw a real minnow on they get crushed quickly. I'll try them again but so far no luck.
Luckily this fishery gets dozens of anglers a week so that fish was likely someones dinner shortly after I released it. Most berkley products are "easy" on fish digestive systems. However you will get a mortality from time to time especially if the hook is swallowed.
