A week ago, my travels took me to Berlin, where I explored Museum Island-an absolutely captivating site. Berlin is a must for your 2024 vacation plans.
The Pergamon Museum is closed for many years for rebuilding and refurbishment. But don't let that put you off visiting Berlin. I find it a fascinating city with so much history attached. I can also recommend the Technik Museum. Note that tours of the Reichstag Building or Dome have to be booked online in advance. If you visit Potsdam, the "Glee Nicky Bridge" is actually the Glienicke Bridge, better known as The Bridge Of Spies
This was a good video for those who are yet to visit Berlin. The one disappointment was the appalling pronunciation of sites and place names. Please remember to use German pronunciation, especially for the vowels AND don’t forget what an umlaut does to pronunciation. Grüße aus Australien. Tschüss.
