I Love this Trip of Berlin TV Tower, Hoping the Manila will Have a TV Tower Too, But Taller than Tokyo Skytree and Burj Khalifa with a Height of Over 1000m and Also a Skyscraper at the Same Height will be Also Built Near it.
I've heard this structure was originally built by the East German Communist Party between 1965-69. From old Cold War-era footage, it can be seen from certain points in former West Berlin. It's rather interesting that they have some of the posted signage in English, even though this was part of the old Soviet Sector.
At the end of the movie UNKNOWN.... as the CR! $#@ EDITS Roll down the SCREEN i thought i noticed that berlin had a NEEDLE (NEED ALL!) and i went STRAIT on goggly bear to have a ganders!! I coukdnt BEE LEAVE IT!! / ITS A TV TOWER!!! OMG!! one day! I might even get to VISIT.. it! I CER TTAINly hope i DO.
The Berlin Palace is where the East Berlin Parliament used to be at (Palace of the Republic), correct? And it was torn down after the war to have that Palace of the Republic built, correct? So that leaves me one question, if it's being renovated, even though the original building destroy, how can it be considered as "renovated"? Did the original blueprint of the building survived the war? Were they building it back to it's original state? Would like some background on this. I know the "Palace of the Republic" was considered to be an eyesore, but still, it was history and to me never have been stripped and destroyed. It should have kept as a museum for future generations to see and understand why Communism is bad (despite of the fact that a statue of Lenin was unveiled last year somewhere in Berlin with no understanding nor remembering how it has effected East Germany to begin with). Praying that Communism never returns anywhere in Germany ever again.
