Welcome! These musical clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital. There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view. I'm finding many lost performances from vintage R&B, Soul, Pop, Broadway, Cabaret and other performances. This channel will be the Ed Sullivan channel for the digital generation, something for everyone to enjoy. Many of the performances will be seen for the first time since they were originally televised. I will be adding many musical performances from a variety of sources that I hope you will enjoy. Wether all those great performers from Broadway THE GODDESS SARAH VAUGHAN, us Opera Singers or immense actors such as Meryl or Johnny etc... Sondheim will never be celebrated enough!

You got carried away. :) She is great, of course, but Streisand - as Sondheim said - "has one of the two or three best voices in the world of singing songs''.

@@patricedecourcy4505 Peter's is 71 & can still hit & hold those notes like it was 1986 as she went into 4 consecutive Broadway musicals - one right after the other. Sondheim still calls her "his muse" & she hasn't ever told Sondheim to rework / add verses, (to suit her tastes?), on "Send In The Clowns". But, cool, you like Babs, but I'll take Bernie any day. Check out B.P. Oscars Opening w/ Peter Allen, (R.I.P.). THEN check Babs recording w/ Patrick Wilson. You've got Humberto Gatico, (the best in the biz!), almost in tears, & Streisand STILL had to "criticize" Wilson? No.not carried away, but appreciative of enormous talent THAT comes with a sense of humility & w/o insecurities that get inflicted on others. Wilson "soared" through that song & nothing but praise should have been given. But again, you like one & me likes another. 🙂....besides, this world has so much more to worry about. Peace & Health to you.

@@user-jl7ym4en5b:) Streisand wanted Sondheim to change the lyrics and he agreed to do so. He knew why she had asked him to change them and agreed with her. He even added more lines to the song. ''The last eight bars weren`t written as a chorus but as a reprise. In the show, something happens between the first chorus and that reprise to give the character an entire change of attitude, and that`s what confused her". This is what creative process is about. I don't see Barbra criticizing Wilson in the video you are talking about. When Wilson "soared" Streisand was in awe. And also: it's just a video for promotion... As I said: Peters is great :) Good luck to you.

Agree with you as far as acting is concerned . She is a consumate comedienne, Barbara not as much as Bernie . True ...
