How do you guys score this rematch? This is my card; RD1 - Hopkins 10-9 Taylor RD2 - Taylor 10-9 Hopkins RD3 - Taylor 10-9 Hopkins RD4 - Taylor 10-9 Hopkins RD5 - Hopkins 10-9 Taylor RD6 - Taylor 10-9 Hopkins RD7 - Hopkins 10-9 Taylor RD8 - Taylor 10-9 Hopkins RD9 - Hopkins 10-9 Taylor RD10 - Hopkins 10-9 Taylor RD11 - Taylor 10-9 Hopkins RD12 - 10-10 *Total = 115-114 (Taylor)* In this rematch, Hopkins was busier and did not start too late like he did in their first fight but ultimately fell short by a small margin at least in my card, but it was very close and about 2 rounds can go either way in my opinion. Seems to me, it is possible to score it either way. What's your card?
I scored them again years ago, and I can´t remember which was which, but I had one of the fights 6-6 and the other one 7-5 for Hopkins. I think I had the rematch as a draw. I think Taylor had luck on his side when it came to scoring.
@@soloking4533 6 different professional judges disagreed with you but I'm "Casual bum." Hopkins is KNOWN for intentionally headbutting fighters. Surprisingly no one has bitten his ear off like Tyson did to Holyfield after all those headbutts
Jermaine Taylor use to shoot that gas with hands when he was like 27-0-1.He had just beat the fuck out of Spinks. This was before Pavlik knocked monster hands Taylor out.
@@845pitdog That was the evil genius of it though. You either take the clean punch, or you get the skull, which could have done damage to Hopkins himself too. Might be a random example, but he reminds me of F1's Ayrton Senna. Both guys were ruthless tacticians that would force you into a no-win situation and make YOU decide how bad it's gonna be. And just like Senna, I don't think Hopkins could get away with what he did in today's boxing landscape. The game has changed too much.
Jermaine Taylor didn't land 1 clean punch in their first fight and still "won" I think his charisma and youth are why the judges gave him that fight. But Taylor was the defending champion in this fight and deserved the decision.
